Chicken Recipes
Orange Glazed Chicken.
INGREDIENTS: for Servings: 6
6 chicken thighs
2 sweet onions, sliced.
1 cup vegetable stock
1 orange, zested and juiced
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. cumin powder
Salt and pepper to taste.
DIRECTIONS: and Ready in About: 6 hrs. 15 minutes.
Combine the chicken, orange zest, orange juice, olive oil, onions, stock, cornstarch, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and cumin powder in your crock pot.
Add salt and pepper to taste and cook the chicken on low settings for 6 hours. Serve the chicken warm and fresh.
Chicken Barley Squash Salad.
INGREDIENTS: for Servings: 8
1-lb. ground chicken
2 garlic cloves, chopped.
1 cup pearl barley
1 cup green peas
2 cups butternut squash cubes
2 cups vegetable stock
1 sweet onion, chopped.
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
2 tbsp. olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste.
Lemon juice for serving
DIRECTIONS: and Ready in About: 6 hrs. 15 minutes.
Heat the oil in a skillet and add the chicken. Cook for a few minutes then transfer in your crock pot.
Stir in the remaining ingredients, adjusting the taste with salt and pepper.
Cook on low settings for 6 hours. Serve the dish warm and fresh, drizzled with lemon juice.
BBQ Chicken.
INGREDIENTS: for Servings: 8
4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, halved
1 cup BBQ sauce
1/2 cup vegetable stock
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. maple syrup
1 tsp. mustard seeds
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste.
DIRECTIONS: and Ready in About: hrs. 15 minutes.
Combine all the ingredients in your crock pot.
Add salt and pepper to taste and cook on low settings for 8 hours. Serve the chicken warm with your favorite side dish.
Multigrain Chicken Pilaf.
INGREDIENTS: for Servings: 8
2 chicken breasts, cubed.
1 sweet potato, peeled and cubed.
2 cups vegetable stock
1 cup frozen edamame
1 cup green peas
1/2 cup wild rice
1/2 cup pearl barley
1 leek, sliced.
2 garlic cloves, chopped.
1 tbsp. chopped parsley for serving
1/2 tsp. dried sage
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste.
DIRECTIONS: and Ready in About: 6 hrs. 30 minutes.
Combine the chicken, wild rice, pearl barley, leek, garlic, edamame, green peas, sweet potatoes, stock, sage and oregano in your crock pot.
Add salt and pepper to taste and cook on low settings for 6 hours.
When done, stir in the parsley and serve the pilaf warm and fresh.
Cream Cheese Chicken.
INGREDIENTS: for Servings: 4
4 chicken breasts
1-can cream of chicken soup
1 cup cream cheese
1/2 cup chicken stock
1 sweet onion, chopped.
4 garlic cloves, minced.
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. dried Italian herbs
Salt and pepper
DIRECTIONS: and Ready in About: 4 hrs. 15 minutes.
Season the chicken with salt, pepper and Italian herbs. Melt the butter in a skillet and add the chicken. Cook on each side until golden then transfer the chicken in your crock pot.
Add the remaining ingredients and adjust the taste with salt and pepper.
Cook on low settings for 4 hours. Serve the chicken warm.
Chicken Sweet Potato Stew.
INGREDIENTS: for Servings: 6
2 chicken breasts, cubed.
2-lbs. sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed.
1 pinch cinnamon powder
1 cups vegetable stock
2 tbsp. butter
2 shallots, chopped.
1/2 tsp. cumin powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste.
DIRECTIONS: and Ready in About: 3 hrs. 15 minutes.
Combine the chicken, butter and shallots in your crock pot. Cook for 5 minutes then transfer in your crock pot.
Add the sweet potatoes, cumin powder, garlic and cinnamon, as well as stock, salt and pepper.
Cook on high settings for 3 hours. Serve the stew warm or chilled.
Green Pea Chicken with Biscuit Topping.
INGREDIENTS: for Servings: 6
1/2-lb. baby carrots
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter, chilled and cubed
1/2 cup buttermilk, chilled
1 shallot, chopped.
1 leek, sliced.
2 garlic cloves, chopped.
1 cup vegetables tock
1/4 cup white wine
2 chicken breasts, cubed.
1 cups green peas
1 tbsp. cornstarch
Salt and pepper to taste.
DIRECTIONS: and Ready in About: 6 hrs. 30 minutes.
Combine the shallot, leek, garlic, chicken, green peas, baby carrots, cornstarch, stock and wine in your crock pot.
Season with salt and pepper.
For the topping, mix the flour, butter, buttermilk, salt and pepper in your food processor.
Pulse just until mixed then spoon the mixture over the vegetables in the crock pot.
Cover and cook on low settings for 6 hours. Serve the dish warm.
Adobo Chicken with Bok Choy.
INGREDIENTS: for Servings: 4
4 chicken breasts
1 cup chicken stock
4 garlic cloves, minced.
1 sweet onion, chopped.
1 head bok choy, shredded
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. paprika
DIRECTIONS: and Ready in About: 6 hrs. 30 minutes.
Mix the chicken, garlic, onion, soy sauce, brown sugar, paprika and stock in your crock pot.
Cook on low settings for 4 hours then add the bok choy and continue cooking for 2 additional hours. Serve the chicken and bok choy warm.
Chicken Taco Filling.
