Air Fryer Donuts
Make use of your air fryer by making snack foods like these tasty donuts. Layer biscuits make wonderful donuts that are buttery and flaky outside, but fluffy and light inside. They are healthier than deep-fried donuts.
Servings: 8 donuts & 8 holes
Ingredients
1 can (8 pieces) Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layers biscuits
3 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 to 1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
Pinch of allspice
DIRECTIONS:
Break up or remove any clumps in dark brown sugar and combine in a small bowl with granulated sugar, allspice and cinnamon. Set aside.
Take out biscuits from can, making sure not to flatten.
With a 1-inch circle biscuit cutter, cut the holes from the center of individual biscuits.
Using your air fryer, fry the 4 donut pieces for five minutes at 350 Fahrenheit, and fry all holes in one sitting for three minutes at 350 degrees.
Brush the surfaces of donuts and holes one at a time with butter using a pastry brush as soon as each one comes out of your fryer.
Drop the donuts and holes into a bowl with the sugar mixture, tossing to coat well. Slowly shake off excess sugar and serve warm.

Directions

Spread an even layer of butter on each side of sandwich and arrange in the basket of your air fryer in a single layer.
Insert toothpicks on the corners of each sandwich to seal.
Air fry the sandwiches for four minutes, flipping once and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until toasted.
