Picture 9
T he new rage in cooking is the air fryer. You may have watched numerous advertisements on air fryers and probably wondered how this kitchen appliance works. If you associate an air fryer with a lot of hot air, then you have the right idea.

An air fryer is a kitchen appliance that uses superheated air to cook the food. It is a Philips invention that offers tasty, healthy food, using little or no oil. Air fryers were first introduced in Europe and Australia in 2010, closely followed by Japan and North America. Over the years, this appliance became a part of the modern kitchen. It is used in different ways in different countriesthe Japanese use air fryers to make fried prawns; Americans use it to prepare chicken wings; and Indians use it to make samosas! The air fryer uses Rapid Air technology to fry any food that has been placed in its basket, and hot air is circulated rapidly around the ingredients. The air helps to heat the food from all sides at once, which is exactly what happens when you deep fry foods using oil.

This technology also ensures an optimal temperature is maintained within the fryer to avoid burning the food. The food prepared using the fryer is crispy on the outside and tender and tasty on the inside!
