Introduction
Usually prepared by deep frying and tossing in sauce-butter or via marinade, chicken wing dishes are immensely appreciated as an easy dish to be prepared. Just as Teressa prepared the first dish as a snack, chicken wings are eaten all around the world as an appetizer. They appear on the menus of fast food and highly expensive restaurants, in home-made recipes and on delivery brochures.
The wings are mostly served with a cheese dip on the side or with some vegetable sticks. Without adding some good hot sauce to the deep-fried snack, it doesnt feel very complete. If you want to avoid frying chicken, you may still enjoy your wings prepared without any extra fat and baked to crispy perfection.
There are several regional special and internationally renowned sauces that provide an alternative to the usual hot sauce thats added. The wonderful sauces are prepared from Japan to the Caribbean, and they do their best to enhance the deliciousness of chicken wings.
1. Chili Garlic Asian Wings
These chicken wings make use of a lovely marinade to enhance their meaty flavor. They are irresistible with some garlicky spicy-sweet dressing. The fantastic combination makes coming back for seconds all the easier. Theyre usually caramelized by being cooked in the oven and are very easy to recreate as well.
Ingredients
1/4 cup of chili garlic sauce low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup of honey
1/3 cup of extra-virgin olive oil
1/3 cup of low-sodium soy sauce
Juice from 1 single lime
4 minced cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger
2 lb. of chicken wings
Prep Time: 15 min
Cooking Time: 3 hrs. 5 min
Serving Size : 4
Instructions
Mix oil with soy sauce, some lime juice, honey along with chili garlic sauce and oil before adding some garlic and ginger to it. Make sure to keep half a cup of this mixture aside. Make sure to toss the wings properly in the rest of the marinade and coat them properly. Freeze them for at least 2 hours after covering them well.
Preheat your oven to 400F and add a wired rack on top of a baking sheet.
Take the wings out of the marinade before adding them to the rack. Make sure to bake them for 50-60 minutes and flip all of them halfway through.
Put the rest of the marinade inside a tiny saucepan on medium and bring the pan to a boil. Decrease the heat after that and make sure to simmer for 10 minutes.
Change the oven to broil and coat the wings with the sauce before broiling them for 2-3 minutes.
Serve the marinated Asian chicken chili garlic wings warm and enjoy.
2. Air Fryer Prepared Chicken Wings
