1. Teriyaki Wings
Teriyaki wings arent meant to be enjoyed at the restaurants only. With this simple recipe, youre sure to be making them more frequently.
Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 70 mins + 4 hours marinating
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
Marinade:
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 2 medium green onions, thinly sliced
Chicken wings:
- 24 large whole chicken wings
- 1/8 tsp sweet paprika
Teriyaki sauce:
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger root
- 2 medium green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
Marinade
In a small pot, mix all the marinade ingredients.
Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes and leave to cool.
Chicken:
Put the chicken in a large zipper bag, pour on the marinade and rub to combine.
Seal the bag and marinate for at least 4 hours up to overnight.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Line a baking tray with foil and set it on a baking rack.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and arrange it on the rack. Drizzle the marinade in the bag and sprinkle the paprika on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Take off the foil and bake for 15 to 20 more minutes or until golden brown.
Teriyaki sauce:
Meanwhile, as the chicken cooks, combine all the sauce ingredients in a pot except the sesame seeds.
Simmer over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes while stirring and making sure it doesnt boil over.
Transfer the chicken to a platter, drizzle the sauce over and mix well.
Garnish with sesame seeds and serve.
2. Buffalo Wings
Buffalo wings are a classic, and we couldnt have excluded them from this book. This recipe is a simple way to make them, but they taste a bunch.

Cook Time: 65 mins

Ingredients:
- 2 lb. chicken wings
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp honey
- 4 tbsp butter
Instructions
Preheat your oven (375 degrees F), line a baking tray with foil, and set it on a baking rack.
Add the wings and vegetable oil to a bowl, and with season with salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Toss well.
Place the chicken on the rack and cover with foil.
Bake for 45 minutes. Take off the foil and bake for 15 to 20 more minutes or until golden brown.
Meanwhile, heat the hot sauce and honey in a small pot over low heat while stirring to combine. Add the butter and stir to melt. Turn the heat off.
Transfer the chicken to a large bowl, drizzle the sauce on top and mix to coat well. Leave the oven on.
Arrange the chicken on the baking rack and bake for 3 more minutes or until caramelized.
Remove the chicken onto a platter and serve warm.
3. Sweet and Sour Wings
Give yourself a pamper with the best of two worlds, sweetness and sourness. You just might not want to share these pieces with anyone.

Wings:
- 2 lb. chicken wings
- 2/3 cup cornstarch
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Sweet and sour sauce:
- 1/4 cup salted butter
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tbsp + 1 tsp distilled white vinegar
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp Sriracha
- 1/2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F, line a baking tray with foil, and set it on a baking rack.
Add the wings to a large zipper bag. Mix the cornstarch with salt and black pepper. Sprinkle on the wings and seal the bag. Massage the wings until well-coated.
Arrange the chicken on the rack and mist with cooking spray.
Bake for 60 to 65 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine the sauce ingredients in a small pot, except for cornstarch. Bring to a simmer for 3 minutes with frequent stirring. Pour in the cornstarch, stir and simmer for 1 minute or until syrupy.
