- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed and minced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil, toasted
- 1 lb. flank steak, fat trimmed and scored
- 3 cups bok choy, chopped and steamed
- 2 tablespoons green onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions: Place the ginger, garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce and sesame oil in a large bowl.
Add the steak and coat evenly with the sauce. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 6 hours. Preheat your grill. Grill the steak for 10 minutes. Flip and grill for another 10 minutes. Serve with the bok choy and garnish with the green onion and sesame seeds.

Korean Beef in Cabbage Cups

- 2 lb. chuck roast (boneless), cubed
- cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoons sesame oil
- Cooking spray
- 8 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- cup rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- cup sesame seeds
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce
- 16 cabbage leaves
- Scallions, chopped
Instructions: Coat the beef cubes with the flour. Add the sesame oil to a pan over medium heat.
Cook the beef cubes for 6 to 8 minutes. Spray your slow cooker with oil. Transfer these to your pot. Cook the garlic in the pan for 1 minute. Transfer the garlic to the slow cooker. In a bowl, mix the ginger, vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame seeds, salt and hot sauce.
Pour the mixture into the slow cooker. Cover the pot. Cook on low for 8 hours. Pour the cooking liquid through a strainer. Discard the solids. Add the beef on top of the cabbage leaves.
