What is cooking over pressure? The most used function of Instant Pot cookers is pressure cooking, which allows a versatile way of preparing your foods. Pressure cooking its a preparation method which is capable of sealing your food inside a pot with liquid and using the high temperature, you will create a steam that increases the pressure in the pot. You have options to release this pressure at some periods of time for a better control of the cooking. Using this kind of method, you will cook much faster your foods, because of the increasing of boiling point. It has a huge advantage of maintaining the food nutrients and flavors, saving your time and energy as well. How to use Instant Pot settings? You will find the front side of your pot somehow complicated, having many buttons that signify different cooking programs.
During each cooking you will start to learn each setting and you will find them user-friendly. Below the pressure cooking program, you will find the low, normal and high setting, that indicates the approx. temperature that your food will be cooked. The low and high setting are used over pressure cooking, while the normal setting stands for slow cooking without sealing the pot and not using any pressure over the food. Some newer pots are releasing automatically the pressure when the cooking its done, but others havent got this setting and you will need to do this manually after the cooking process finishes.
