Spells, Love: Love SpellInvoking Venus and the Moon. Creation of a Love Amulet(additional)

Objective:

To gain the love of someonewith the qualities you are looking for in a lover.

Materials needed:

2 roses, 1 red, 1 white(male/female) or 2 white roses (female/female) or two red roses(male/male)

2 apples

Rose water

1 bottle Red Wine

1 lemon

1 bottle pomegranatejuice

1 tablespoonhoney

Love attractionoil

Prosperity oil

Venus incense

Moon incense

1 pink votive or ritualcandle

Boline or work knife (if youpractice kitchen witchery, and use your athame for cutting matter,you may omit this)

Pink Ribbon

A pink cloth bag or pinkpaper bag.

Spell paper

fine tipped permanentmarker

Beads: Rose quartz, garnet,white moonstone.

1 small prayer locket orbox.

Goblet or chalice

Preparation beforehand : Fast for 3 days before the ritual tofocus your mind and concentrate your power. Eat two apples a dayfor those three days and refrain from meat and dairy products. Noalcohol. Avoid caffeine, sugar and processed foods. Eat plenty offresh vegetables, whole grains, nuts and fruits, drink lots ofwater. For these three days, meditate to cleanse your mind ofnegative thoughts and stresses. Focus on your intentions for thelove ritual. Focus on your qualities. What about you will attractthe kind of partner and relationship that you want?

Before you start the ritual,take a bath or shower with a salt scrub to groundyourself.

Directions : If your alter is alreadyset up, you may skip this step. However, if you are setting up aspecial alter for love (out of doors, perhaps) you may want to addthese to your altar:

An image of Venus/Aphrodite,if you work with Bastet, place her on your altar as well and makeprayers to her before starting the Moon/Venus ritual.

A small mirror so you maysee the moon reflected directly over head of your altar.

A bowl of water

Dried lavender

Dried rose petals

2 Moon cakes

Your wand

Crystals you wish tocharge

Salt you want tocharge

Cast your circle and callthe corners. Ask the moon and Venus to bear witness to yourwords:

By starlight, by moon light,by dark night I pray

Bare you both witness tothese words that I say,

Venus oh beautiful, divinegoddess of love

And moon oh ye great motherwho watches above,

I intreat you withreverence, I honor you with cheer.

Please, lend me your powerand your guidance here.

I invoke thee, I beseechthee, please hear my call.

And be it harm to none andbeneficent to all.

Place the rose representingthe partner you wish to attract on the altar on the right side andsay: For the one I seek, so may Ifind.

Place the rose representingyourself on the left side of the alter and say: For this to be, so may I strive.

Take the pink candle andwith your athame, carve a pentagram into the bottom. On one side ofthe candle carve the word Love and the other side of the candlecarve Joy.

Rub the candle with love oilspeaking these words: To bring love into mylife. Joyful and kind.

Focus all your goodintentions on the kind of love you want to have in your life thenlight the candle saying these words: I seeklove, please, Mother Moon and Lady Venus, let love bloom around melike a garden. Let it be healthy, rich and nourishing to all whomit touches. May my partner and I eat of the fruits and benourished, may we drink of the springs and be satiated, may wesmell the sweet fragrances and be glad. May this garden be a refugeof peace and harmony. May it be strong as the oak tree. May it besweet as summer apples. May this garden of love be of boon to alland harm to none.

Slice one apple in halfcross wise (not stem to stern) this creates a pentagram.

Offer the apple halves toVenus, representing yourself and the lover you seek.

Cut your spell paper inhalf. On one piece of your spell paper (should be no bigger than2x2"), write the qualities you have that will attract the kind ofpartner you want on one half and the qualities you seek in apartner on the other half.

Fold the paper in half sothat the qualities touch. Seal it with a drop of wax from your lovecandle.

Take your goblet and fill ithalf way with wine. Add a quarter teaspoon of rose water, lemonjuice and honey to sweeten it to your taste. Place this on youraltar, under the moon. Say these words: Mother moon, lend me your light and grace. Lend me yourinfluence that I may cast my net wide on the world and find mylove.

Place the piece of paper onyour alter and meditate on the type of person you are looking for.Pick up the piece of spell paper again, this time letting your mindgo clear. Hold the paper in your hands and with a clear mind, allowthoughts to stray back into your mind, allow them to pass throughlike autumn leaves blown by the wind. Be mindful of them, but donot focus on any one in particular. Just be aware of them. Let thempass you by.

Bind the two roses togetherwith the pink ribbon, speaking these words as you do so: I unite these roses with the bonds of love, bethey distant, be they far, love draw them together wherever theyare. Under the hand of Venus and the Heart of Mother Moon. Harm tonone and for all a boon.

Take the piece of spellpaper you have reserved and write: Lovecome to me.

Cut the second apple fromstem to stern and remove the seeds (save them) and divide it intoseven wedges

Sprinkle the apple sliceswith the wine, honey, lemon, rose water from the goblet sayingthese words: Mother Moon and Lady Venus,grant me your grace and wisdom in the ways of love, that I may knowwhat is right and what is wrong, that I will be kind and generouswith my love, and also firm and just. May I be protected from thepitfalls of jealousy and unrequited pining. May I respect and alsobe respected. Please sweep the dangers from my path. May it harmnone and be blessing to all.

Eat the first slice of appleand think: For beauty . Chew thoroughly and swallow. As you consume the appleenvision yourself consuming the beauty light of the moon andVenus.

Eat the second slice ofapple (this should be the largest slice) and think: To be Desired. This can bewhatever you see about yourself as most desirable, your sexiness,your beauty, your intelligence, your creativity. Focus on what youvalue most in yourself and what you want your partner to value mostin you.

Eat the third slice of appleand think: For patience . Chew this piece of apple slowly, thinking thoughts ofpatience, of waiting for the right time to harvest. Think of lovelike an apple, picking it at the right time, when it is ripe. Toosoon and it will be sour and small, too late and it will havewithered on the tree. Think thoughts of patience of tender tending,of the right environment and care to grow your love.

Eat the fourth slice ofapple and think: For abundance. Envision a bountiful orchard or garden that feedsthe orchardist all year and a spring that is ever flowing withlight and sweet waters. Think: Let this bemy love.

Eat the fifth slice of appleand think: For Perseverance: Envision a tree or cactus in a dry desert land.Envision it blooming and the humming bird coming to drink it'snectar. Envision a ripe fruit forming from this flower and feedingyou from itself. Envision your love like a well that even in thehottest desert, still produces water to slake the thirst.Think: Let this be my love, in hard timeslet it persevere, let it nourish and feed us when we shouldwant.

Eat the sixth slice of appleand think: For Wisdom. Envision the wisdom of the Moon and of Venus--who have seencountless loves over the millennia--filling you with theirknowledge and experience. Envision yourself knowing the right pathwhen it presents itself to you as if lit by the light of themoon.

Eat the seventh slice ofapple, thinking: For Confidence: Envision yourself filled with confidence like aflame that grows within you, warming your skin with it's light,shining out of you like a lantern to light your lover's way toyou.
