We are far greater than the passing thoughts that we carry into our hearts and the experiences that hurt us.
If you desire to create a new way of thinking, seeing and doing then it all begins with you and how you empower yourself to live your life by choosing courage over fear, love instead of limits, and faith rather than doubt. Transformation is a walk through rocky emotional terrain that inspires our reinvention and renewal.

An Introduction to Rocks into Roses: Life Lessons and Inspiration for Personal Growth2018
Picture 9

R ocks signify the hard and hurtful parts of life that we can take action upon to transition to flowering beauty. We transform them through intention, courage and our inner dynamism to bloom our roses. When we see an indistinct flower rise to full bloom through an inconspicuous split in the rock, this inspires hope, faith, and highlights the strength of the gentle flower over the seemingly mighty rock. Suddenly we view the impossible as possible again. Your challenges and tough times may appear as the rigid, prominent and oppressive rocks that force you down, but the splendour of the rose is born through the power of inner wisdom, natural law, and tenacity over tribulation as she ascends toward glory. Even the most beautiful roses lay dormant during winter; lifes darkness is simply a shadow that we can seek our light through.

Why roses? Roses symbolize love, promise, passion, hope, and new beginnings. And every rose has its thorns that are cutting, bleak and defensive, almost thoughtlessly misplaced on the beauty of the rose by nature. And yet the thorns have a purpose, just as the rose does. Those thorns may prick and sting sharply but we learn valuable lessons from lifes thorns. The rose teaches us the humility of balance and grace; we may witness many thorns on the stem of the rose, and yet her beauty is not negated or harmed by their presence. Lifes hindrances and hurts dont subtract from our existence- they add to the full experience of it.

We can easily lose ourselves in external circumstance and feel buried and swallowed beneath the rocks that life has thrown at us and the thorns that have penetrated our heart. We can lose our sense of self, the centre of our perspective and in turn our power to adjust, adapt, and flow with life rather than fight against it. But we can rise through the rocks and rubble rather than be ruptured by them. We can value the thorns for the wisdom we gain through the infliction of the wounds. Whatever traumatizes us, or attempts to break or block us can inspire our greatness and fuel us forward once we reframe our thinking, redirect our energy, and nourish ourselves with a shift in perspective.

We may bruise and damage ourselves along the way, and draw blood from the wounds we encounter through the thorns, but we are never a lesser person for the experiences life has moved our way...we are far greater. Just like the rose holds her beauty among the thorns- we can gather our strength from the most unlikely places. Everything that hurts us can be transcended into something of greater beauty and purpose. We should embrace the full measure and magic of life...and turn our rocks into roses.
