Key Features
A12 Bionic Chip
The A12 Bionic chip with a Neural Engine is what gives the 8th generation iPad its excellent performance and top speed, and what places it at par with Apple's flagship iPhones, despite its price range.
The A12 Bionic chip first appeared in iPhone XS, the iPhone XR, on the mobile side; and on the third-generation iPad Air and the iPad mini on the iPad. Its inclusion in the 8th generation iPad makes it the cheapest and most powerful tablet.
With an A 6-core CPU and 4-core GPU for 40% faster CPU performance over its predecessor and two times more graphics, the 8th generation iPad, Apple boasts, is:
two times faster than the top-selling Windows laptop
three times faster than the top-selling Android tablet
six times faster than the top-selling Chromebook.
What this implies is faster gaming, superior graphics performance while gaming, and improved graphics operations of high-resolution content in apps that deals with photo manipulation or graphic design features. This makes the new iPad just right for augmented reality experiences and other demanding tasks like creating digital art using the Apple Pencil, gaming and editing media.
Nothing can beat the performance level of this new iPad - at least not yet. With the A12 Bionic with Neural Engine, you are sure of first-class performance. This A12 Bionic chip is the same one found in the 3rd-generation iPad Air and the 5th-generation iPad Mini, as well as the iPhone XR and XS, and can therefore function at the same level for several tasks.
