Introduction
Time is one thing that most of us never seem to have enough of. With other responsibilities of home, family, work and more, time for our favorite hobbies sometimes takes a back burner. Its important to make time for ourselvesto refresh, stimulate and do something that makes us happy! Quilting is my go-to when I need time just for myself. Having projects that sew up quickly gives me that much-needed sense of accomplishment and also the opportunity to make a quick gift if the need arises. Each of the nine projects in this book are ones that can be pieced in a weekend.
With a little preplanning, you can have a finished top in no time. From table toppers to bed quilts, having the fabrics chosen and pieces precut ahead of time will allow you to get right to sewing when the time is right. Browse through this book, choose a favorite pattern (or two) and get ready for a fun weekend of sewing. Ive already got mine picked out!

Completing the Blocks
Referring to Half-Square Unit Techniques, make 64 half-square units from the background A squares and the other A squares ().
Trim units to 2" square, keeping diagonal seams centered.
Figure 1 Sew one background B and one assorted color B rectangles together along the long edge (). Make 64 total units.
Figure 2 Sew two matching step 1 units to the opposite ends of one matching step 2 unit to make a top and bottom row unit (). Make 32 total units.
Figure 3 Sew two matching step 2 units to the opposite sides of one C square to make a center row unit ().
Make 16 total units.
Figure 4 Sew two matching step 3 units to a matching step 4 unit to make a small churn dash unit (). Make 16 small churn dash units.
Figure 5 Divide the small churn dash units into two groups as follows: Group 1: tan, navy, dark red, green, orange, crimson, blue and gray. Group 2: brown, light green, light blue, light gray, yellow, orange, red and dark green. For each group 1 unit, sew a D rectangle to the left of the small churn dash unit.
Sew an E rectangle to the top to make an inner small churn dash unit (). Make eight.
Figure 6 In the same way, sew a D rectangle to the right of each group 2 small churn dash unit and an E rectangle to the top to make eight mirror image inner small churn dash units (). Repeat step 1 to make 64 F-F HST units (). Trim units to 3" square, keeping the diagonal seams centered.
Figure 8 Pair fabrics together in the following combinations where Fabric 2 is the steps 9 and 10 units: Group 1 / Fabric 2 Tan / Brown Navy / Dark Red Dark Red / Navy Green / Light Green Orange / Crimson Crimson / Orange Blue / Light Blue Gray / Light Gray Group 2 / Fabric 2 Brown / Tan Light Green / Green Light Blue / Blue Light Gray / Gray Yellow / Orange Orange / Yellow Red / Dark Green Dark Green / Red Referring to fabric combinations listed in step 11, join two G-G units to an inner small churn dash unit ().
Figure 9 Repeat step 3, joining two F-F HST units and a G-G unit (). Make 32.
