Introduction
Hello, My name is Don Orwell and I had some life changing experiences in 2009 and that led me to start rethinking my eating habits and my current lifestyle.
I have written a bunch of Superfoods related books (Diet, Smart Carbs Detox, Cookbook, a few books with Smoothies recipes, Superfoods Salads, Nighttime Eater, Superfoods Body Care etc.) and I touched emotional eating and nighttime eating in some of them. Most people who are nighttime eaters eat cookies, chocolate or ice cream in the evening. Superfoods Diet and Superfoods Lifestyle is pretty much based on veggies, proteins, fruits and to the lesser extent Smart Carbs. But there is a firm place for sweetness in Superfoods Lifestyle because eating something sweet every day will prevent binging in the evening. For me, sweet taste is 90% coming from fruits and superfoods chocolate, but other Superfoods desserts have their place. All ingredients in all recipes are 100% Superfoods.

Fruits & Chocolate
Raw Vegan Superfoods Dark Chocolate
Instructions Mix 1/4 cup of coconut oil with 1/4 to 1/2 cup of cacao powder (unsweetened, ideally organic and unprocessed) and some raw honey to taste (start with cup). You really should experiment with coconut oil and honey amount and see what works for you. Form truffles or put chocolate in the ice cube tray. Leave it in the fridge and 1 hour later youll have great homemade Superfoods chocolate! You can spice it up with cinnamon, nutmeg or ground vanilla bean.
Raw Vegan Fruits dipped in Superfoods chocolate
Ingredients 2 apples or 2 bananas or a bowl of strawberries or any fruit that can be dipped in melted chocolate 1/2 cup of melted superfoods chocolate (see earlier recipe) 2 tbsp. chopped nuts (almond, walnut, Brazil nuts) or seeds (hemp, chia, sesame, flax meal) Instructions Cut apple in wedges or cut banana in quarters.
Melt the chocolate and chop the nuts. Dip fruit in chocolate, sprinkle with nuts or seeds and lay on tray. Transfer the tray to the fridge so the chocolate can harden; serve. If you dont want chocolate, cover fruits with almond or sunflower butter and sprinkle with chia or hemp seeds, cut it into chunks and serve.
Raw Vegan Superfoods Ice cream
Freeze a banana cut into chunks and process it in the blender and add half a tsp. of cocoa or both and eat it as ice-cream. of cocoa or both and eat it as ice-cream.
Other option would be to add one spoon of almond butter and mix it with mashed banana.
Vegan Superfoods Stuffed Apples
Core 10 apples, fill them with Raw Vegan Chocolate Cashew Truffles mix and bake them in the oven for 25-30 minutes.
Raw Vegan Whipped Coconut Cream
Ingredients 4 cups of any fresh berries 2 lemons 1 can full fat coconut milk (14 oz.), refrigerated overnight 1 tsp of ground vanilla bean 2 Tbsp. raw honey Dash of cardamom, nutmeg and clove (optional) Instructions Separate coconut cream from the milk by putting it overnight in the fridge. Dont shake it before opening. Open the can of coconut milk and scrape out the cream into a bowl. Use the saved milk for smoothies or other recipes. Add cardamom, raw honey and vanilla.
Whip the cream with a hand mixer until fluffy. Put in the fridge. Wash berries and place in serving bowls or glasses. Squeeze the lemon over the berries. Place a big scoop of cream on top of the berries and serve.

Superfoods Raw Vegan Cookies
Ingredients 1/2 cup coconut milk 1/2 cup cocoa powder 1/2 cup coconut oil 1/2 cup raw honey 2 cups finely shredded coconut 1 cup large flake coconut 2 tsp of ground vanilla bean 1/2 cup chopped almonds or chia seeds (optional) 1/2 cup almond butter (optional) Instructions Combine the coconut milk, cocoa powder and coconut oil in a saucepan. I think that it still counts as a raw dessert if you have to warm up the coconut milk and coconut oil.
So, warm up the mixture over medium heat because we want coconut oil to melt and become liquid. Remove the mixture from the heat and stir in the shredded coconut, large flake coconut, raw honey and the vanilla. Add additional ingredients if you want. Spoon the cookies onto a parchment lined baking sheet to cool.
Raw Vegan Walnuts Pie Crust & Raw Brownies
Ingredients 1 1/2 cups walnuts 1 cup pitted dates 1 1/2 tsp. chia seeds 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Topping for Raw Brownies: 1/3 cup almond butter Instructions Add walnuts to a food processor or blender. chia seeds 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Topping for Raw Brownies: 1/3 cup almond butter Instructions Add walnuts to a food processor or blender.
