Authors Acknowledgments

A book is never the work of a single person. There are many who contribute to its success, and this book is no exception.

We would like to especially thank Hungry Minds and Holly McGuire for asking us to write Slow Cookers For Dummies . Wed also like to thank Linda Ingroia for keeping things on track and Angela Miller for bringing us all together.

We are extremely grateful for our very patient and understanding project editor, Suzanne Snyder. It was Suzannes wisdom, soothing voice, and firm stance that got us through each and every day. Every author should, at least once in their lifetime, have an editor as professional and caring as Suzanne!

Its amazing how even with a computer grammar and spelling checker, errors somehow still slip by. For making this book grammatically correct, we heartily thank Tina Sims, who made sure that each and every dangling preposition and missing comma were found.

We are thankful for the luxury of a competent recipe tester, Laura Penseiro, who tested, tasted, and tweaked our recipes with the same loving care we would bestow. We also thank her for checking to make no sure there were no technical blunders.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, we hope that you enjoy as much as we do the quirky, wonderfully descriptive illustrations of artist Liz Kurtzman.

We also want to thank Pam Mourouzis, Emily Wichlinski, and the remaining crew at Hungry Minds for their expertise in getting this book to you.

Last but not least, we would be amiss for not thanking our families and friends for their support, understanding, and unconditional love, which we know was not always easy for them to provide as our deadlines approached!
