Highlights of Civil Society Participation in ADB Operations in 2010
Asia and the Pacific is moving beyond economic recovery into sustained growth. However, if as many of the regions people as possible are to share in its benefits, the regions future growth must become more inclusive than in decades past. Similarly, as the regions policy makers increasingly became aware of the fact that climate change and climatic volatility are serious threats to the regions development, their focus on environmentally sustainable growth deepened in 2010. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is committed to supporting efforts that address these concerns through its programs and projects in climate change, sustainable transport, and education.
