H ave you ever wondered why most diets dont seem to work?

The main reason is simply because many diets are often too difficult to stick too for most of us. Yes, it is true that if you are super dedicated and consistent you could initially lose some (water) weight by following any number of the different diets currently available. The problem however lies in keeping the weight off long term because once the initial flush of enthusiasm evaporates, we then crave the forbidden foods which are off limits during the diet and inevitably slide back into our old ways.

Im not saying that all diets will not work. Its true that if we can reduce our calorie intake enough then maintain it then we will of course lose some weight. But it needs to be something that we are happy doing or we will not stick to it.

If we are to seriously lose weight, then first we need to be completely honest with ourselves. I mean do we really believe that we can deny ourselves of all our favorite foods from here on in? Statistically its unlikely. And even if we could, do we really want to? It sounds unsustainable to me. Even the word diet conjures up a feeling of restriction or doing without the foods you love, which is something that Im not really prepared to do.

As well as being essential to our survival, good food is one of lifes best pleasures and should be celebrated as such. We need to change our attitude towards food and develop a healthy lifestyle relationship with it so that we can enjoy our favorite foods while also utilizing it as a powerful and effective weight loss and health boosting tool.

This book is for anyone who is serious about losing weight, be it for health or aesthetics reasons. First, we will closely examine Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Diabesity, Hyperinsulinemia and the role of Insulin. These sections are very detailed to enable us to have a clear understanding of what we are dealing with.
