1: Quality Incoming Links

This is by far the most effective top SEO tip. Encourage high authority, industry and niche related websites to link to the pages on your website. This is an important factor in optimizing your site in search engine results. Quality inbound links from other websites and blogs help search engines find your website and understand what your web pages are about. In addition to the traffic these links may bring, many search engines will also treat these links as editorial votes for your site, and the more votes you have from quality related sites, the better your site will perform in search result pages.

However, due to recent updates by major search engines, link quality is now more important than quantity. The days of pointing thousands of low quality links to your website using link networks and automated software to boost your rankings are well over. In fact, the use of such back-linking techniques could well get your website penalized or even banned altogether!

Do not use any automated link building software, directory submission software, or other automatic link building techniques. Ensure all links are from high quality authority sites with unique titles and descriptions where appropriate.
