FOREWORD
PAUL (TIGER) DIAMOND
I descended from a long line of Tohunga (native teachers, mentors) and through my naturally enquiring mind I opened many Pandora boxes to find out how the modules complemented the thing in its entirety. Ive been employed as a shooter, top salesman, snooker champion, artist, hypnotist, gang leader, extrusion foreman, engine builder, biker, cyclist, driver etc. From all these callings, I accrued a wide range of skills which allowed me to have a unique insight into many topics from which I conceptualized the Switching Technique. When I was at primary school my teachers wanted to advance me ahead four years, so my mother said.
When I first met Jacqui Olliver, it was to share a house. I enquired and was informed of her line of work. I had absolute unique information on her topic which was never before shared which I happily mentored her with, including the switching technique. She transformed from being an obscure national personality to a World-Renowned Practitioner sought by many clients worldwide for her real answers style of therapy which is totally unique from mainstream systems.
Jacquis devotion to helping others overcome sexual and emotional problems stems from the impediments she encountered navigating her way through life. She has personally experienced many stumbling blocks on her way to solving the wider problems concerning personal growth, love and connection. I have seen her growth and this book reflects a candid and transparent view into her life. Reading this book will help unravel many mysteries and transform many lives.
INTRODUCTION
Have you ever wondered why its such a challenge being human? Unlike a car, we didnt come with a guide which explains how to drive our body. We didnt have our emotions explained to us in a manner which enabled us to use them as a springboard to feel fantastic. Instead, we are totally overwhelmed to the point we just want to give up or bury our head in the sand.
The main impediment being, we didnt inherit the most basic skills to enhance living! Its small wonder so many people feel depressed, disconnected and alone. Anxiety and other strong emotions are often the reason why we are unable to solve bigger issues. As I eventually discovered from my own life experience, emotional problems generally result from lacking skills and knowledge, especially about the driving forces in our life.
Using real life examples, I explore and explain the reasons why emotions prevent us from not rectifying and resolving these issues. Ive endeavored for this book to be a life guide which highlights what we need to know and the ultimate explanation of how to incorporate this feel good formula into everyday living. Ill show you how to neutralize any strong emotion within seconds and how to successfully navigate through the most complex challenges we all face in life.
Within these inspiring and motivating pages, you will find the answers to solving specific life situations. So, instead of being overwhelmed and feeling paralyzed by your fears, you can feel confident in moving forward and taking actionable steps to end your problems.
Doing this ONE thing will enhance how you take control of your life and make you feel more confident.
PART 1
Insights
Gained from
My Life
Experiences
I t seemed that I had been thrust into a turbulent life? After 11 hours of intense labor, I was eventually born at 3:40 am on the 23rd of July 1970, almost three weeks overdue and with my mothers belly so huge she could hardly fit in the back seat of the car which took her to the hospital.
Right from the outset I was constantly hungry to be fed. My mother had milk fever when my older sister was a baby. When it came time to feed me, her nipples quickly became cracked and sore which made it too painful for her to breast feed me. However, when given the substitute of cows milk formula I started having some weird kind of shaking fits like convulsive full body tremors.
Confused, my mother took me to her doctor who was also confused as to what was causing the problem. He then referred us to a leading pediatrician who determined I had an allergy to cows milk. She recommended a variety of alternate milks for us to try and as a family we all endured many sleepless nights until we found one which I could tolerate.
While determining which form of nourishment I could tolerate the pediatrician told Mum to lie me on my back and just watch me whenever I was having a fit. They were mild fits and she said that I would be safe on my back as long as I was being watched. When my fathers mum came to visit, Mum vividly recalls her commenting with shock and consternation when Mum just laid me on the floor wrapped in my blanket when I started having one of these fits. I finally shook myself back into reality. Apparently for me in my first few months of life this was a normal procedure.
After months of incessant crying and an aversion to everything they tried to feed me, my parents desperate for rest and at the end of their tether finally found that I could tolerate soy milk. Finally, a reprieve! Without the constant pain and discomfort of different milk allergies I became a normal, happy and gurgling baby.
Until they tried to put me down to bed. My parents would spend hours taking it in turn trying to put me to bed but I would cry as soon as I sensed them leave the room. It was as though I had radar and was born afraid to be left alone. I was not a naturally contented baby. Problems going to sleep and staying asleep tormented me throughout my early childhood. As I collated the insights for this chapter, my mother described me as you were such a problem child.
I was two when I was encouraged into my own bed in my own bedroom. I would wake up in the middle of the night and take forever to go back to sleep. I was terrified of the monsters hiding under my bed and would lie rigidly in the middle of my bed so they couldnt reach me. When I finally called out for help Mum would come in and sit on the edge of my bed with her feet on the floor to prove that it was safe. And then when she thought I had fallen asleep she would stand up and gingerly take one step at a time, hoping to reach the door unnoticed. But as soon as she made it to the door I would wake up. It would usually take another hour or two of repeating this process until I eventually went back to sleep and she escaped.
