About the Authors
John Watson (Oxford, UK) is an Oracle Certified Master DBA, with many other accreditations for Oracle technologies. He works for Skillbuilders Corporation, teaching and consulting throughout Europe and North America. He was with Oracle Corporation for several years in Johannesburg working for Internal Support and Oracle University. He speaks regularly at Oracle User Group meetings and has written several books on Oracle technologies. John has 30 years of experience in IT and first came across Oracle with database release 5, installing it on IBM PCs.
Roopesh Ramklass (Canada) is an Oracle Certified Master with expertise in infrastructure, middleware, and database architecture. He has worked for Oracle Global Support, Advanced Customer Services, and Oracle University. He has run an IT consultancy and is experienced with infrastructure system, software development, and systems integration. He has spoken at numerous Oracle Users Group conferences and is the author of several technology books.
Bob Bryla (Wisconsin) is an Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g, and 12c Certified Professional with more than 20 years of experience in database design, database application development, training, and Oracle database administration. He is the lead Oracle DBA and systems engineer at Epic in Verona, Wisconsin. In his spare time, he has authored several Oracle DBA books such as Oracle Database 12c: The Complete Reference and Oracle Database 12c DBA Handbook. In addition, he has authored several certification study guides for Oracle Database 11g and 12c. He has also been known to watch science-fiction movies and dabble in videography in his spare time.
