About the Author
Kevin Otnes, technical writer and author, was born and raised in the Emerald City. His experience with Windows ranges from assembling and shipping Windows 2.0 retail boxes with 20 floppy disks to a dozen years of writing award-winning online help for Windows, Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, Windows XP Embedded, and Windows Mobile Embedded. During that time, he also contributed to the Windows 95 Help Authoring Kit book, served as a technical reviewer for several Windows and Internet Explorer books, and wrote several technical articles published on Microsoft TechNet. His past and present work includes writing for Laplink, Andrew Corporation, Boeing, and EMC.
He copes with the dietary demands of the tropical Puget Sound climate with salmon, tomatoes, raspberries, krumkake, and rosettes according to season and adapts to the change of seasons with rock salt, bumbershoots, and sunglasses.
