Praise for Whispers from the Wild
Whispers from the Wild by Amelia Kinkade is a truly remarkable read on many levels. With pages dripping with nectar from the heart, this book makes abundantly clear Amelias passion and concern for wild animals. Its a passion we should all share, as youll come to learn, if you care about reversing the extensive and perhaps nearly irreparable damage humankind has caused our planet. And you wont have to take her word for it; this comes straight from the horses mouth, so to speak. Various species of animals she communes with in the book have told her so. These interspecies dialogs so amazed me, I had to prop up my jaw from dropping so much. Woven into this amazing narrative are fascinating stories from Amelias past as a professional dancer and actress, performing with some of the great talent of the time. After reading this book I cant look at animals the same way; Im now convinced they know more than we do.

In Whispers from the Wild, renowned animal communicator Amelia Kinkade provides us with just what we need to deeply and personally reconnect with the fascinating and mysterious world of nonhuman animals to rewild our hearts. Not only do they need us, but we also need them to thrive and to truly experience our own humanity in an increasingly human-dominated world. Whispers from the Wild made me deeply rethink ways in which we could truly honor the presence and essence of nonhuman animal beings, while at the same time saving ourselves from the devastating effects of our alienation from nature and from ourselves.

The Emotional Lives of Animals and Rewilding Our Hearts
Everywhere there is growing awareness that we humans will find harmony with nature or we may not be at all. In Whispers from the Wild, Amelia Kinkade reminds us that an astonishing level of communication with wild creatures is indeed possible. Her enchanting book helps us resacralize the Earth and its creatures seeing all life as sacred and deserving of love, respect, and compassion. The beneficiaries are not just the animals but ourselves as well.

Individual Mind Is Part of a Greater Consciousness and Why It Matters

To Beatrice Lydecker, my teacher,
who taught me the call of the wild is heard in whispers
In the name of the daybreak
and the eyelids of morning
and the wayfaring moon
and the night when it departs,
I swear I will not dishonor
my soul with hatred,
but offer myself humbly
as a guardian of nature,
as a healer of misery,
as a messenger of wonder,
as an architect of peace.
In the name of the sun and its mirrors
and the day that embraces it
and the cloud veils drawn over it
and the uttermost night
and the male and the female
and the plants bursting with seed
and the crowning seasons
of the firefly and the apple,
I will honor all life
wherever and in whatever form
it may dwellon Earth my home,
and in the mansions of the stars.

IN 2001, A TEAR-STAINED, tattered diary became a book that got published all over the world and turned my house cats name into a synonym for a forbidden love that no one else would understand. I called Mr. Jones, my Maine coon, the sunlight in my universe and described our relationship as a love that transcends all space and time. Since the publication of Straight from the Horses Mouth, Ive received thousands of emails from all over the globe with readers sending me photos of their Mr. Jones. When I open the attachments, Im surprised to find that the pictures are not always of house cats, but also of horses, dogs, and sometimes even rabbits or birds. But when I read the emails saying, This is my Mr. Jones or, sadly, I just lost my Mr. Jones, you know my tears always come. You all trust me to know what you mean. This new book is a walk on the wild side, but Im trusting you to continue to know what I mean.
