Preface
by RavenDelana - verandalane.com
Two years ago, I started a blog as a part of my life coaching practice. Even as a former Marketing manager, I had no clue how to do this blogging thing. I started by reading through a few of my favorite blogs and somehow stumbled upon the Bloggers Like Me community. The group is full of smart, savvy, and business minded bloggers of all experience levels from just getting started to full time, veteran bloggers who seem to know all the ropes. At least once a week, one of the girls drop a gem so good that you can almost visualize everyone in the group pulling up a chair, whipping out a pen and paper and taking pages full of notes. Theres a great deal of generosity in sharing information, tips, new tools, resources and more.
After witnessing this a few times, I knew that all of this brilliance should be captured in a book for the world to see. I brought the idea to Bloggers Like Me founder, Leslie Hendricks Young and we quickly pulled together a group of volunteers and contributors to bring the idea to life.
I hope that youll use this book as guide to help you on your blogging journey in the way that the BLM girls help each other every single day. It doesnt have to be read from cover to cover, think of it as a buffet. Pick up the chapters you need, when you need them and take the steps to go From Blank Space to Blogging Brilliance.

How To Develop Content
That Readers Will Love
By CarinKilby Clark
When I started my blog a couple of years ago, I found myself overwhelmed by the vast sea of blogs that are out there. I wasnt sure how to make my blog a success and I didnt have a clue what I should focus on first in order to build a loyal audience.
After reading through hundreds of articles, books and courses on the many aspects of blogging, I started to notice the one thing they all had in common; a great content, which is the key.
As a blogger, your content is the most important part of your site. Ive visited blogs that had terrible design. There was even a time I came across a blog that had no navigation menu or sidebar, thus rendering me a prisoner to the page I landed upon. But even with that I stayed. I kept reading. I was engrossed.
