I cook because I love to cook. This is my passion and I cannot live without cooking. All this goes from childhood when I lived with my parents. Breakfast Recipes
Healthy Overnight Steel Cut Oats
Prep time: 12 minutes, cook time: 6-7 hours, ingredients: 5-6
Ingredients
- 1 - cups frozen blueberries (or another berries on your preference)
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup skimmed milk
- 1 large banana, mashed
- 1 cup steel cut oats
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
- Honey for serving
Directions
- Pour in water and milk in a slow cooker.
- Add mashed banana, frozen berries, and steel cut oats. Season with ground cinnamon.
- Cover and cook on high for about 1 hour. When timer beeps, switch to "warm" and cook overnight (for about 6-8 hours).
- Serve with honey or sugar.
Appetizing Chicken Caesar Sandwich
Prep time: 10 minutes, cook time: 4-5 hours, servings: 4-6
Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- cup Caesar dressing
- cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- cup fresh parsley, chopped
- teaspoon ground pepper
- 2 cups romaine lettuce, shredded
- 4-6 regular size hamburger buns
Preparation
- Put chicken breasts into the slow cooker, pour 1-2 cups of water over, cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
- Remove cooked chicken from the Crockpot, drain the water from the slow cooker.
- Shred the chicken using two forks and discarding any fat.
