How do you know what types of meals will please a man?
Men today are often more independent when it comes to eating than they used to be. If a guy cant throw a meal together, hell need a girlfriend, wife or restaurant to do that for him. But anyone can cook meals men love, including men themselves.
Men today usually eat healthier than the men of yesterday, too. Eating at home is much healthier and less expensive than eating out, and you can more easily control methods and ingredients if you prepare meals at home.
Men who cook are able to provide for their family and friends in the healthy eating department. If a man provides food for others, its considered manly, and comes from our ancient history as hunter-gatherers. Putting a meal together is an asset for any man, and anyone who cooks for a man.
All kinds of recipes appeal to men of different types. Meat is usually an ingredient that makes men happy with their meals. Fish is also quite popular, and often a healthier food choice. Choose vegetables that are fresh and colorful, and cook them properly, for the best taste.

Macho Breakfasts Made for Men and Women

1 Santa Fe High Protein Burrito
If men dont eat enough protein, they can lose some of their muscle mass, and men who are physically fit will love this protein-packed breakfast.
Makes 2 Servings
Total Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs, large
- 1 cup of mixed vegetables, frozen (corn, black beans and peppers)
- 1 tortilla, flour
- 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese shreds, low-fat
- 1/4 cup of salsa, mild or hot your choice
Instructions:
1. Mix vegetables and eggs. Spread mixture on medium or large plate sprayed with non-stick spray.
2. Cook in microwave for one minute. Use a fork to stir and microwave once again, till veggies are warm and eggs have cooked.
3. Pile on tortilla and top with cheese shreds and salsa. Serve.

2 Buckwheat Nutty Buttermilk Pancakes
This is a great recipe for pancakes. These flapjacks are filling, hearty and nutty. The buckwheat Makes him feel like hes eating something that is healthy for breakfast, even though the taste is quite sweet.
Makes 8 Servings
Total Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup of flour, buckwheat
- 3/4 cup of flour, all-purpose, unbleached
- 3 tbsp. of sugar, granulated
- 1/2 tsp. of baking soda
- 1 & 1/2 tsp. of baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. of salt, kosher
- 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1 & 1/2 cups of buttermilk, low fat
- 3 tbsp. of melted butter, unsalted
- 2 eggs, large
- Syrup, maple, as desired
Instructions:
1. Whisk dry ingredients together in a bowl. Whisk wet ingredients together in a separate bowl.
2. Mix dry and wet ingredients together. The batter may be a bit lumpy and thats OK. You dont want the batter overmixed.
3. Grease a skillet and heat it on med. heat. Drop 5 circles of the pancake batter in skillet.
4. Wait to see emergence of bubbles on tops of pancakes. Flip them and cook other side.
5. Top with melted butter and syrup. Serve.

3 Steak and Eggs Chimichurri Breakfast
There are some breakfast recipes that beckon men to what is purported to be the most important meal of the day. The chimichurri sauce on this steak breakfast Makes it special and unique.
Makes 2 Servings
Total Cooking Time: 1/2 hour
Ingredients:
For chimichurri
- 4 sprigs of mint, fresh
- 1/4 cup of chopped oregano, fresh
- 1/4 cup of chopped parsley, flat-leaf, fresh
- 2 minced cloves of garlic
- 1/4 cup of oil, olive
- 1/2 fresh lime, juice only
- Salt, kosher
- Pepper, freshly ground
- 1 pinch pepper flakes, red
For steak & eggs
- 1 x 6-oz. sirloin or rib-eye steak
- Salt, kosher
- Pepper, freshly ground
- 2 tbsp. of butter, unsalted + extra if needed
- 2 eggs, large
Instructions:
1. To prepare chimichurri, combine all its ingredients in medium sized bowl. Incorporate by stirring. Set the bowl aside.
2. To prepare steak & eggs, season steak as desired. Melt butter in large, heavy skillet on med-high. Place steak to one side of pan and leave room for eggs. Cook till steak has been seared dark brown. This usually takes three or four minutes for each side. If pan becomes dry, add extra butter a little at a time.
3. Reduce heat to med-low. Add eggs. Season with pinch of kosher salt & ground pepper. When whites begin setting, cover skillet. Cook for several more minutes. Serve with chimichurri sauce.
