As a child and family psychologist, I am pleased to endorse The Rebuilding Workbook by Will Limn and Nina Hart-Fisher as an invaluable tool for people that have experienced divorce. More than a simple fill-in-the-blank workbook, the author offers exercises, visualizations, and meditations to guide the reader on a path to healing. In addition, case vignettes and examples act as stimuli for thought and discussion. This workbook builds on Bruce Fishers original book, and should be a required companion for any divorce adjustment seminar.

How does he know exactly what Im feeling?
In more than four decades as a psychologist, marriage and family therapist, author, and editor of popular and professional psychology books, I have known many, many therapists and authors who were influential and powerful in the lives of their clients and readers. None, however, were more influential, more powerful, or more downright practical than was Bruce Fisher.
And it was Bruce alone whose work brought readers to ask again and again, How does he know exactly what Im feeling? Bruce knew because hed been there. He listened. He paid attention. He studied the patterns that emerged from research with his Fisher Divorce Adjustment Scale . And he created a programthe program youll discover in this workbookbased on what he learned.
This excellent update of Bruces nineteen-step model for divorce recovery has been prepared by his two closest teammates. Will Limn was Bruces first staff member in the Family Relations Learning Center, and taught the Fisher Divorce Seminar (now known as the Rebuilding Seminar) for over twenty years. Nina Hart-Fisher, Bruces widow, co-led many of the divorce seminars Bruce gave internationally, and co-authored his Loving Choices book and workbook. There could have been no better choice of authors for this work. Im delighted to offer this brief foreword as an invitation to you to read and benefit from it.
