There are countless numbers of chicken recipes in the world today, however, the ones mentioned in this book can be quite rare. It is important that you learn something new, especially with a common staple food like chicken which is consumed all around the world. Chicken comes with numerous benefits, it contains less fat when compared to other types of meat. Chicken is also a good source of Niacin - a substance that has been found to contain some cancer-fighting powers. Aside from the numerous Vitamins and minerals, chicken is also found to contain substantial amount of the trace mineral -Selenium. Chicken is a great source of Vitamin B6 which when combined with Niacin, will help provide more energy for the conversion of protein, fats and carbohydrates into usable energy.
Chicken, being the most domesticated animal in the world has been the main source of protein for humans for centuries where they were first domesticated in India, thousands of years back, until they become part of the staple diets in Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Australia. Recipe #1: Teriyaki Fried Chicken Wings
This recipe provides a delicious fried chicken with spicy flavour Servings: 10-20 Total preparation time: 30 minutes Ingredients: - 1/3 cup of lemon juice - cup of soy sauce - cup of vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons of chili sauce - A clove of finely chopped garlic - teaspoon of pepper - teaspoon of celery seed - A dash of mustard - 3 pounds (15-20) chicken wings
Preparation: Step #1: prepare the marinade by combining the lemon juice with soy sauce, chili sauce, oil, celery, garlic, pepper, and mustard. Stir very well and set aside.
Step #2: Cut the chicken wings at the joint and remove the tips, then place the chickens in a dish. Step #3: pour the marinade over chicken, and then refrigerate overnight. Then drain before placing on broiler tray. Broil for about 10 minutes on each side, while brushing occasionally. Remove the chicken after 10 minutes and serve.
Recipe #2: Delicious Tabasco Chicken Wings
The perfect chicken wings for the lazy afternoon.
Servings: 10-15 Total preparation time: 25 minutes Ingredients: - 10-20 chicken wings - stick of margarine - A bottle of durkee hot sauce - 2 tablespoons of honey - 10 drops of Tabasco - 2 tablespoons of cayenne pepper
Preparation: Step #1: Deep-fry the wings for about 20 minutes in margarine. Then drain and dip the chicken before setting in the sauce. Add the honey, Tabasco and cayenne pepper. Step #2: Take the chicken out and let them dry for 2 minutes before serving.
Recipe #3: Fascinating Cashew Chicken
This is a deep-fried chicken recipe with a cashew fruit flavour. Servings: 5-10 Total preparation time: 30 minutes Ingredients: - 2 egg whites - 1 cups of cashew nuts (finely chopped) - 2 cups of peanuts (you may use vegetable oil) - 2 chicken breasts (boned, skinned and thinly sliced) - A quarter cup of corn starch - A teaspoon of brown sugar - 2 teaspoons of salt - 1 teaspoon of dry sherry
Preparation: Step #1: Grab a little bowl and inside, mix the salt with starch, sugar and sherry.
Then in a separate bowl, beat the egg whites. After this you can add your corn starch mixture in another bowl before stirring gently until they blend perfectly. Step #2: Put the cashew inside a new and clean plate and your chicken slices one after the other into the egg mixture and make sure the chicken has been coated perfectly. Step #3: You can now add your peanut oil inside the Wok, and with the aid of tempura wok, make sure the rack hooks are positioned in the proper way. Step #4: Get your oil into a pan and heat it over moderate heat to about 380 degrees. Then put in 5-6 chickens inside at a time and make sure you fry the chicken until golden brown.
Remove the chicken after frying them for about 5 minutes and drain them with the aid of the tempura wok.
Recipe #4: Family-Friendly Chicken Tortellini Soup
This is a creamy chicken recipe that goes well with salads or rice. Servings: 5-10 Total preparation time: 1 hour 20 minutes Ingredients: - 2 moderate of large carrots - 1 large or moderate onion - 2 cloves of garlic - 3 cans of chicken soup cream - 6 small cups of water - A teaspoon of Oregano - teaspoon of Basil - 1 medium pack of boneless chicken breasts (cut into bite size) - 1 small or large cheese tortellini - 2 packs of frozen broccoli
Preparation: Step #1: Add 3-4 spoons of vegetable oil, slightly cook the chicken breasts. Whilst the chicken is still cooking, chop your vegetables and open up the chicken soup cream cans. Step #2: Arrange and place all the ingredients inside a kettle, except the tortellini and broccoli. Let the mixture be simmer for about 60 minutes.
Then add the Tortellini and broccoli and serve immediately with your soup.
