Contents Introduction Tacos are one of the most sought-after Mexican dishes in restaurants. The reason is they are delicious, crunchy, flavorful, and hearty and they can satiate your hunger. They are not messy and you can eat them without fork and spoon. They are recommended for camping, picnics, tailgating, and of course Taco Tuesday. In short, tacos are versatile and the filling varies from meat, veggies to fish.
You can finish them in 20 minutes to half an hour and in slow cooking, the cooking time could take up 4 to 8 hours or so. You can make ahead and freeze the filling in a freezer container, thaw for a few hours in the refrigerator and reheat in a saucepan. Have enough store-bought taco shells and tortillas and warm them when the need arises. Most of our nutritional information is based on 2 tacos as one serving. There are only a few recipes that have a single serving. Enjoy! Beef Beef Brisket Tacos Here is one way to enjoy your after dinner by preparing this brisket filled with myriads of toppings to add a crunchy and creamy taste to your already tasty tacos.
The brisket is cooked with marinade sauce and beer in a slow cooker for eight hours. Servings: 10 (20 tacos) Ingredients 1 cup brisket marinade sauce or liquid smoke (plus 1 tablespoon salt) 1 bottle (12 ounces) beer or nonalcoholic beer 1/2 teaspoon salt bay leaves 1 (3 to 4 pounds) fresh beef brisket , fat trimmed 1/2 teaspoon pepper 20 pieces 6 warmed corn tortillas Toppings: Shredded cheddar cheese Media crema table cream Lime wedges Thinly sliced green onions Fresh cilantro leaves Avocado slices Salsa DIRECTIONS: Mix in a large Ziploc bag the beer, brisket marinade sauce, bay leaves, salt, and pepper. Add the beef brisket and seal. Turn the bag upside down to coat brisket with ingredients. Marinate in refrigerator overnight. When ready to use, place brisket with marinade in a six-quart slow cooker.
Cover, cook on low heat for eight to ten hours until tender. Discard meat and remove the meat from cooker. Do not discard the juices. Shred the meat using two forks and put back in the slow cooker. Place brisket in tortillas and garnish with toppings. Make ahead: Put brisket mixture in freezer containers for future use.
Thaw in the refrigerator for several hours. Heat and stir until warmed through. Serve! Cilantro Beef Tacos You want something to eat in a jiffy, try these thirty-minute beef tacos that are so awesome to eat. Use leftover steak and top the tacos with a hodgepodge of toppings, so there is no reason why you skip your meals, when you can do it in half an hour. Servings: 4 (8 tacos) Ingredients 1 pound beef flank steak 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 medium halved and sliced onion 4 teaspoons olive oil , divided 1 minced garlic clove 1 seeded and finely chopped jalapeno pepper 1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro 1/2 cup salsa Dash hot pepper sauce 2 teaspoons lime juice 8 pieces 6 warmed flour tortillas Optional toppings: Salsa Cilantro Shredded lettuce Sour cream Directions Season the beef flank steak with pepper and salt.
Heat two teaspoons of oil in a large frying pan on medium high heat. Place steak in pan and cook for five to seven minutes per side until reaching its desired doneness. If you wish to reach medium-rare doneness, the temperature reading should reach 145 degrees, medium at 160 degrees and well-done at 170 degrees.* Remove steak from pan. Pour remaining oil in the same pan and heat over moderate heat. Stir-fry the onion for 4 to 5 minutes until transparent. Cook the garlic and jalapeno for two minutes.
Add the salsa, lime juice, pepper sauce, and cilantro; stir until warmed thoroughly. Slice the cooled steak thinly across its grain and add to the spice mixture. Place on tortillas and topped with optional toppings. *Note: If you wish to reach medium-rare doneness, the temperature reading should reach 145 degrees, medium at 160 degrees and well-done at 170 degrees.
