E njoy the taste of freshly- made flour tortillas prepared in your home! Preparation time: 15 minutes Cooking time: 45 minutes Servings: 24 Ingredients: 4 cups of all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon of salt 2 teaspoons of baking powder 2 tablespoons of lard 1 1/2 cups of water Directions: 1. In a mixing bowl, add the flour, salt and baking powder. Whisk it all together. 2. Add the lard using your fingers and mix until the flour looks like cornmeal. 3.

Pour in the water and mix everything until they come together. 4. Lightly flour a surface and set the dough on it. Knead for a few minutes until it is elastic and smooth. Cut the dough into 24 pieces of equal size. 5. 5.

Over medium-high heat, preheat a big skillet. Using a rolling pin that is well-floured, roll a dough ball into a thin and round tortilla. 6. Put the round tortilla into the preheated skillet and allow to cook until its color becomes golden and it is bubbling. Flip to the other side and keep cooking until it is also golden. 7.

Remove and keep in a tortilla warmer. Repeat the process for the other dough balls.

W ith just two ingredients , you can make the most delicious tortillas. Preparation time: 20 minutes Cooking time: 15 minutes Servings: 15 Ingredients: 1 3/4 cups of masa harina 1 1/8 cups of hot water Directions: 1. Mix the ingredients thoroughly in a medium-sized bowl. Put the dough on a clean surface and knead until it is smooth and pliable.

Cover it tightly with a plastic wrap and leave to stand for 30 minutes. 2. Over medium-high heat, preheat a cast iron pan. 3. Cut the dough into 15 balls of equal sizes. 4. 4.

Put the tortilla in the pan immediately and cook for about 30 seconds or until it is browned and a bit puffy. Turn the tortilla on its other side and brown for about 30 seconds. Remove and put on a plate. Continue this method for the other balls.
