Introduction
Turning the dial of your oven to 375 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes in the height of summer is not an attractive proposition.
But a sweet dessert completes a cookout or picnic perfectly.
You can do better than simply serving ice cream or fruit with our 40 no-bake sweet treats.
And whats more, with adult supervision, most of the recipes are kid-friendly too. Most recipes dont even require a stovetop or microwave, so lots of the preparation can be carried out by your little assistant chef!

Chocolate and Nut
Chili Chocolate Chia Pudding
This sweet pudding packs a serious punch! Serve at your next get-together and seriously impress your friends.

Ingredients:
- cup chia seeds
- 1 cup almond milk
- 2 tbsp. cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1 tbsp. pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- tsp. fresh chili (very finely chopped)
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Cover and leave in the refrigerator for the night.
2. The following day, add the pudding into a blender and blend until totally smooth. Return to the refrigerator for 10 minutes before serving.
Choco Coco Peanut Butter Bars
Chocolate is great individually paired with either coconut or peanut butter but when you combine all three, the result is out of this world.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter
- cup coconut oil (unrefined)
- cup honey
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- cup pecans (chopped)
- 1 cups dark chocolate chips
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
1. In a saucepan over a low/medium heat melt together the peanut butter, coconut oil, and honey. Stir continuously until the mixture is silky. Take off the heat and add in the remaining ingredients. Stir until very well combined.
2. Transfer to a square baking tin and refrigerate for 4 hours before slicing and serving.
Chocolate Amaretto Cookies
These cookies are best served with a hot cup of coffee. Theyre a great midday snack.

Ingredients:
- 20 amaretto cookies
- cup butter (softened)
- cup superfine sugar
- 4 tbsp. amaretto liqueur
- cup cocoa powder
- cup mixed nuts (chopped)
Directions:
1. Put the cookies inside a plastic food bag and massage until they are crumbs.
2. Cream together the butter, sugar, and liqueur. Sift the cocoa powder into the mixture. Add the crumbled cookies and mix thoroughly. Gently fold in the mixed nuts and, wearing disposable gloves, carefully roll the mixture in greaseproof paper.
3. Place the cookies in the refrigerator overnight. Slice into squares and serve with coffee.
Chocolate Cheesecake
A pre-prepared pie crust and no-bake filling make this the ultimate stress-free yet delicious dessert. Nobody will know you didnt spend hours slaving over it in the kitchen!

Ingredients:
- 16 ounces full-fat cream cheese
- cup brown sugar
- cup white sugar
- 2 tbsp. whole milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate (melted)
- 1 pre-prepared chocolate pie crumb crust
Whipped cream (for topping)
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients (excluding melted chocolate and whipped cream topping) in the bowl of your electric mixer and beat for 2 minutes until all ingredients are well combined and smooth.
2. Stir in the melted chocolate. Spoon the filling into the pie crust and refrigerate for 2 hours until firm. Top with whipped cream before serving.
Chocolate Dipped Banana Popsicles
Quick and super simple to make, this is a perfect snack to give your kids when they ask for something sweet.

Ingredients:
- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate (chopped)
- 6 wooden popsicle sticks
- 8 bananas (cut into thirds)
- cup peanuts (finely chopped)
Directions:
1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
2. Use a double boiler to melt the chocolate, taking care not to overheat. Set aside.
3. Insert a popsicle stick into each of the banana thirds. Add the nuts into a shallow dish.
4. Dip each banana piece into the chocolate, ensuring its totally coated before dipping in the chopped nuts. Arrange the dipped bananas on the cookie sheet. Refrigerate for 20 minutes before serving.
Chocolate Toffee Cookies
Scrumptious cookies. The secret is to use at least half a stick of butter. It prevents the cookies from being too salty.

- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
- cup semisweet chocolate chips
- cup bittersweet chocolate chips
- cup toffee bits

- Toffee bits for scattering
