Cabbage and Carrot Dumplings
Dumplings with cabbage, carrot and spring onion filling!
Serves:
Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Cooking Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
- 24 (8.89 cm circular) ready to use dumpling wrappers
- 2 cups Chinese cabbage, finely chopped
- 2 cups carrots, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 cup spring onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame seed oil
- Salt and pepper
Method:
1. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over low heat, add all the ingredients to pan and cook for few minutes until everything is combined well and partially cooked, stirring occasionally.
2. Once done, remove the pan from heat and keep aside. Let it sit until warm.
3. Now, place a full teaspoon of prepared filling onto each dumpling wrapper. Dampen the edges of each wrapper with little water and then seal the corners using finger tips to form a semi-circle. Slightly roll the corners to secure in filling. Place dumplings on a floured baking sheet till all of them are ready to cook.
4. Now, steam the prepared dumplings in a dumpling steamer for 15-20 minutes.
5. Serve hot.
