Introduction
If youre a slushie lover like me, youre always searching for new recipes. I wrote this book for just that very reason. You can never have too many slushie recipes and this book is packed with some of my favourite.
Nothing quite hits the spot on a hot day than a delicious cold Grape Slushie, or a Kiwi Strawberry Slushie! So grab those juicy, in season fruits and lets get to blending!
** Fresh fruits that have been frozen overnight are recommended but store bought frozen fruits can be used as well.
Strawberry
This slushie is super tasty with a little sweetness of the strawberry and tartness of the lemon juice. Its also very refreshing.
Serving size:
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 3 cups frozen strawberries
- cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cups ice
Instructions:
1. Blend ingredients together and garnish with fresh strawberries and lemon wheels.
Strawberry Lemonade Vodka
Looking for a cool, boozy strawberry drink? Heres your answer. Blend fresh strawberries with some lemon juice and your favourite vodka. Yum!
Serving size:
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 3 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- cup vodka
- 2 cups ice
- Sugar to taste, optional
Instructions:
1. Blend ingredients together, except vodka.
2. Stir in vodka before serving and sweeten if necessary.
Very Berry Blend
Enjoy your favourite juicy, plump berries in summer in this fruity slushie. This recipe calls for blackberries, strawberries and raspberries but you can add or substitute fruits with blueberries.
Serving size:
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cups of frozen blackberries
- 1 cups of frozen strawberries
- 1 cups of frozen raspberries
- cup water
- 2 cups ice
- Sugar to taste, optional
Instructions:
1. Blend ingredients together and sweeten if necessary.
Raspberry Orange
This bright red slushie has a delicious citrus and berry flavour. This is perfect on a hot day to cool you down.
Serving size:
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of orange juice
- 2 cups of frozen raspberries
- 2 cups ice
- Sugar to taste, optional
Instructions:
1. Blend ingredients together and sweeten if necessary.
2. Garnish with an orange slice.
Mango Peach
This sweet citrus summer slushie is simply amazing after a long hot day. Its refreshing and a great way to use up fresh mangoes and peaches.
Serving size:
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of frozen peaches, chunks
- 2 cups of frozen mango, chunks
- cup water
- 2 cups ice
- Sugar to taste, optional
Instructions:
1. Blend ingredients together and sweeten if necessary.
Honeydew
For this refreshing slushie all you need to do is grab some fresh honeydew melons, lemon juice, mint and honey.
Serving size:
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 4 cups honeydew melon, chopped
- cup fresh mint leaves
- cup water
- 3 cups of ice
- cup honey
Instructions:
1. Blend ingredients together and top with chia seeds.
Spiked Honeydew
This slushie is the perfect addition to your next summer barbecue. The honey dew has a light green flavour and a high water content that makes is super refreshing and the rum just makes everything better!
Serving size:
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 3 cups honeydew melon, chopped
- cup lemon juice
- cup rum
- 3 cups of ice
- cup honey
Instructions:
1. Blend ingredients together and serve with fresh honeydew melon.
Cantaloupe
Cantaloupes are usually available all year round so this slushie can be enjoyed at any time but its definitely tastier in the summer when cantaloupes are at their best.
Serving size:
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 4 cups of cantaloupe, chopped
- Juice of 2 large limes
- cup of water
- 2 cups of ice
- cup honey
Instructions:
1. Blend ingredients together and garnish with fresh mint.
