This book on Polyvinylchloride (PVC)-based Blends: Preparation, Characterization and Applications covers many of the recent research accomplishments in the area of PVC-based blends. Throughout the book, various topics are addressed, such as the current state of the art of PVC-based blends, new challenges, and opportunities. An emphasis is given to the types and sizes of components/fillers and optimum compositions of PVC blends, their processing and structure-properties relationships, modification/compatibilization methods, and possible applications.

The current book is a valuable reference source for university and college faculties, professionals, postdoctoral research fellows, senior graduate students, and researchers from R&D laboratories working in the area of PVC-based blends. Prominent researchers from industry, academia, and government/private research laboratories across the globe gave their contributions for the chapters within this book. Chapter of this book covers PVC membranes preparation, mathematical modeling, characterization, modification, and applications. Recent studies on bio-based PVC-related blends are summarized in the final chapter, the authors focusing on PVC bio-related nano-blends and bio-based blends of PVC with polyesters, polysaccharides, natural fillers, and poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA).
