Introduction
Workout because you love your body, not because you hate it. John Hunt
While strength training is one of the exercises that come with vast benefits that are related to health, fitness, weight loss, and desired body shape, very few people practice it. One study reported that 60% of the adults in the U.S. dont engage in strength training workouts (Perry, 2018). This tallies with the results from another study that highlighted a 57.8% rate of nil strength training (Bennie et al.., 2018). The latter study showed that 30.2% of the U.S. population do take part in strength training but not to recommended levels. This means that only 12% worked out enough to meet strength training recommendations.

Meet the Author
Thomas Fitzpatrick grew up as a skinny kid who was somewhat athletic but not physically impressive. Their first endeavor to lift weights was in high school, where they used some of the tips that they present in this book. These tips helped Thomas to make progress in a more natural way. As time elapsed, Thomas became addicted to the feeling that came with making progress in the gym. This even turned them into better athletes. After years of hard and consistent training, with the aim of being as strong as possible, Thomas became a Division 1 rugby athlete.
Thomass consistent commitment to strength training saw him enjoying benefits in their social, dating, academic, and business life. This confirms the psychological improvement that comes with exercising. It is Thomass desire that other people also experience the healing power that strength training has in all forms of relationships.
With such practical experience and knowledge in the field of strength training, Thomas has a passion to help other people who desire to develop physically impressive bodies. This book is, therefore, their way of sharing his knowledge, in addition to the tips and tricks that he tried and tested.
Chapter 1: The Psychology of Your Dream Body
A dream is a goal or something that you are working toward achieving. Therefore, the term dream body describes the state that you would like your body to assume, be it in appearance, shape, form, or health-wise. It is important to note that dreams start in your mind. In this chapter, we will explore the role of the mind in enhancing the realization of the goal to attain the body that you want.
The Connection Between the Body and Your Dream
The common notion is that when we sleep, all our body parts enter a period of rest. However, the dreaming mind is active during the night. Even during the day, the mind significantly involves itself in what we see, hear, feel, or eventually believe in. Simply put, human beings dream both consciously and unawares as they pay attention to their body sensations (Mindell, 2018). Your current body is a result of the dreams that you made, whether consciously or otherwise. Each action or experience is a reinforcement of a certain dream.
The Concept of Allostasis
You have probably heard of the term homeostasis before. It refers to your bodys ability to maintain a constant internal environment. If there are any changes in the normal functioning of your body processes, your body will make adjustments that bring things back to normal. Well, this is different from how allostasis works. With allostasis, your body exhibits the ability to maintain stability, even in the presence of extreme conditions. Allostasis works by enhancing behavioral or physiological change.
