He leaves behind his loving wife Chloe, their newborn daughter Emily, and a thriving medical career. While he is tending to a wounded soldier in the war-torn country, Mike receives the heartbreaking news about his wifes death in a freak household accident. He returns home to bury his wife, only to find that things have fallen apart in the family he left behind. Mike realizes that Chloe's death is somehow mysterious and that the cause might not be what he thought. He is also shocked to discover that his thriving medical practice is at stake, and might not be there when he returns from serving in the war.
Mike Scanlons life is marked by a series of devastating events and unfortunate discoverieshis wife dies in a bizarre accident, his friends are killed in a bombing, his arm is amputated, he becomes drug dependent, he is betrayed by his family and lifelong friend, he is alienated from his only daughter, he is arrested and convicted, and he loses his medical practice. Dont Go was first published in 2013 by St. Martins Griffins Publishers and is available in hardcover, paperback, Kindle, and audiobook formats. The paperback version consists of 416 pages.
The public has responded very positively to Dont Go . On Amazon, readers of the novel have given it a positive score of four out of five stars. Introducing the Author
L ISA SCOTTOLINE WAS BORN on July 1955 in Pennsylvania. She obtained a Bachelors degree in English along with law from the University of Pennsylvania.
Upon her graduation from college, Scottoline served in the legal world for a while. She started her legal practice serving as a clerk for President Judge of the Pennsylvania Superior Court. After that, she became an associate lawyer at Dechert, Price & Rhoads in Philadelphia.
Lisa Scottoline began her writing career in 1994 with the publication of her debut work, Everywhere That Mary Went , which went on to become a bestseller. From that time, Scottoline has published over 26 titles, both fiction and non-fiction books, all of which have been featured on the top lists of major publications in the country. In total, Scottolines books amount to over 30 million print copies in the USA alone. Her books have also been published in 35 countries all over the world.
Lisas work has been recognized by many literary organizations in the country. She has won several awards, including the Edgar Award, the Distinguished Author Award from Scranton University, and the Mystery Writers of America Award, among others. Lisa is also a much-demanded speaker at corporate events and book forums.
Lisa Scottoline currently lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania together with her daughter, Francesca, who is a columnist and upcoming author. She is currently working on her first novel. Both Lisa and Francesca are contributors to a Sunday humor column known as Chick Wit, for the Philadelphia Inquirer magazine.
