The Author
Damon Wood is a project manager with the Fairfax-based consulting firm, ICF Incorporated. Under the direction of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Mr. Wood has been responsible for developing and managing the technical support functions of the Green Lights program. He is the primary author of U.S. EPA's Lighting Upgrade Manual and established the Green Lights Lighting Upgrade Workshops as a leading forum for energy-efficient lighting education.

Over the past 15 years, Damon has also served the lighting industry through his work with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), and his lighting consulting partnership, Spectrum Lighting. The focus of his work has been to communicate the benefits and applications of energy-efficient lighting technologies to non-technical audiences. He has written numerous articles and publications about energy-efficient lighting and is a frequent speaker at lighting-industry events.
Mr. Wood is a Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional, a Senior Member of the Association of Energy Engineers, and a Member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America.

Kreon L. Cyros is Director of the Office of Facilities Management Systems at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he is responsible for managing the use of INSITETM computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) software for over nine million gross square feet of MIT's space. He is also responsible for transferring to other organizations the INSITE technology and expertise necessary for its effective use.

Mr. Cyros began teaching facilities management courses in 1973 for facility managers at the MIT Summer Session Program and, since 1981, senior facilities executives, sponsored by the Office of Facilities Management Systems (OFMS). He continues to direct MIT's annual faciities management conference begun in 1984.
Mr. Cyros is founder of the International Society of Facilities Executives (ISFE), an organization fostering global exchanges of facilities management information and ideas among senior managers. He is also a Standing Committee member of the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) and an Advisory Council member of Michigan State University's graduate program specialization in facilities design and management.
Mr. Cyros is a graduate of MIT with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering.

Doug Townsley is President and founder of Primo Lighting Management, which specializes in energy-efficient lighting installations. He holds a Certified Lighting Management Consultant (CLMC) designation and various electrical contracting licenses. In 1994, his company's efforts earned the prestigious U.S. EPA Green Lights "Lighting Management Company Ally of the Year" award. Prior to starting Primo Lighting, Mr. Townsley held several positions within Sylvania Lighting Services, with his last assignment as the Southern U.S. Operations Manager. His company currently performs lighting upgrade services in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
