You will learn how to turn on Windows Privacy options and monitor your childrens activities on the computer. I put this e-book together because I wanted to share some useful tips and tricks with Windows 10 that I have collected since Windows 10 first came out. The e-book is designed as a Step by Step guide with lots of large pictures so that you can follow along. There have been a lot of changes to Windows 10 since it came out a few years ago so some of the things mentioned in the e-book may not be applicable to your version of Windows 10. Unfortunately, operating systems get out of date fairly quickly as Microsoft updates features and tightens security. I will update this e-book from time to time with the changes.

Lets get you started with Chapter 1.

PREVIEW PROGRAM WINDOWS

If you have more than one program running and you cant tell which one you want to switch to, Windows 10 has made it easier with a preview of the programs. If you hover the mouse over the programs Taskbar button it will display the preview of any programs that are running. You can then click on one of these programs and it will open up to the full program

CONFIGURE AUTOPLAY

There is nothing more annoying when you insert a USB drive and nothing happens. Windows 10 recognizes the device, but sometimes doesnt actually ask what you do want to do with that each time. If you would like to avoid this prompt clears rather annoying thing annoying.

Its very easy to do. In the taskbar search area type Autoplay settings. Switch Autoplay from all media devices to off or choose an action that occurs only when you have inserted specific media Selecting the other options for removable drive reveals a few different options. You can also check the memory card to reveal additional options. In some cases, it might be better to leave it at Take no Option or Open folder to view files (File Explorer) that way you can choose the option you want.

BACKUP YOUR COMPUTER

1. Go to this website and download the free software.

1. Click the download button and select home unless you are a business.

Click Run and you will see this screen Click Download Select Yes Wait for the software to download and it might take some time due to how large the file is.

Finished downloading Go Next prepare to install, accept the license agreement Get a license key Just follow along with the wizard Your choice to register Accept the defaults to install Clic k Finish Start the program. It will ask you for registration but you dont have to register. Select whatever you want. Remember if you give them your email address you will receive correspondence from them. Macrium Reflect software then will analyze the hard drive. Click Next Continue to accept the defaults. Just keep clicking next.
