Introduction
So many times, a lot of people argue that there is no difference between cakes and brownies: some even argue that brownies are just chocolate-flavored cakes.
First off, that assumption is wrong. And the reason why you are thinking like that is that what you have been making are cakes and not brownies.
To make your brownies look and taste like what they should be brownies, here are a few tips that you need to work with.
- When making your brownies, reduce or (if you can), remove the use of airy ingredients such as baking soda and flour. Excessive use of these ingredients will result in you baking cakes and not brownies. Less use would have your brownies coming out denser and moister than they should.
- Make sure that you use the right pan size. Ensure that your batter size is equal to the pan size to avoid getting burnt and crumbly brownies.
- Dont over-whisk. Another reason why your brownies become cakes is that you whisk too much. When you whisk your brownies batter too much, it makes your brownies get cakey in texture.
- Integrate butter. One other way to ensure that your brownies come out way better than you expect is by integrating melted butter in your batter.
- Dump egg whites for egg yolks. Using egg yolks for brownies makes them come out well.
- Chill before baking. Before you bake your brownies, refrigerate them for at least one hour to congeal well.
With these tips in check and this recipe book in use, you are sure to have an amazing time making perfect brownies!!!
