Prep Time: 40 minutes Servings: Ingredients: 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled, bacon drippings set aside 1 head cabbage, cored and chopped Salt and pepper 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese Directions:
  1. Saut cabbage in bacon grease until cabbage is slightly wilted.
  2. Remove from heat and toss with cheese.
  3. Sprinkle bacon on top.

Classic Coleslaw
Prep Time: 20 minutes Servings: Ingredients: 1 16-ounce bag coleslaw mix tablespoons diced onion 2/3 cup creamy salad dressing 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 1/2 cup white sugar 1 tablespoon white vinegar 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds Directions:
  1. Whisk together salad dressing with vegetable oil, white sugar, vinegar and salt.
  2. Toss mixture with onion and coleslaw mix.
  3. Sprinkle with poppy seeds before serving.

Crockpot Corned Beef
Prep Time: 10 hours Servings: Ingredients: 4 large carrots, peeled and cut into matchstick pieces 10 baby red potatoes, quartered 1 onion, peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces 4 cups water 1 (4 pound) corned beef brisket with spice packet 6 ounces beer 1/2 head cabbage, coarsely chopped Directions:
  1. Combine potatoes, carrots and onion in a slow cooker.
  2. Pour water and carefully place brisket on top of the vegetables.
  3. Pour beer over the brisket and sprinkle spices on top.
  4. Cover and cook on high for 8 hours.
  5. Add cabbage into the crockpot and cook for an additional hour.

Cabbage and Kielbasa Platter
Prep Time: 40 minutes Servings: Ingredients: 6 slices bacon, fried and crumbled, drippings set aside 1/4 cup water 2 tablespoons white sugar 1 onion, chopped 2 teaspoons minced garlic 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt 3 teaspoons caraway seed 1 large head cabbage, cut into small wedges 1 pound kielbasa , sliced Directions:
  1. Whisk water, sugar, garlic, onions, red pepper flakes and salt with bacon drippings in a skillet over medium heat.
