PREFACE
The team concept has traditionally been very important in most organizations. You frequently hear the expressions "teamwork" and "being a team player." Yet despite the widespread talk about team effort, it's probably true that most people, on the work scene or in their personal affiliations, have not actually had a true team experience. People can work in the same department for years, serve on committees, meet in management groups regularly, and still not be a part of a team.
