This book is dedicated in loving memory to my dad and mom, Carl Edward Rexroad and Opal Elizabeth Hodges Rexroad. They were married May 21, 1942, in Houma, Louisiana. If it werent for them, there would be no me! They both had very hard lives growing up, so they never learned how to verbally express their love. However, they showed their love for their children in so many ways. I praise God for the parents he chose for me.

I also want to thank God for Angelo Demetri Tsika and Kathryn Marie Jamison Tsika. They were my in-laws from the time I was 19 until their deaths. They loved me like a daughter and were a refuge for me during the first four turbulent years of my married life in Sanford, Maine. I loved them dearly. They gave me the greatest gift I have on earth, my husband, Paul.

I dedicate my part of this book in loving memory to Angelo and Kathryn Tsika, my parents. I remember always beingprovided for by my parents. I believe they did the best they could with what they knew. We saw the struggles and heard the arguments but always believed they would stay together. This alone brought great security to all five children. They were married December 21, 1939, in Millinocket, Maine. They lived in a day when couples made their marriage work, and they did. My greatest regret is that I never loved them as I should have. I miss them.

I also want to thank God for Carl and Opal, Billies parents. When Carl passed and Opal came to live with us, I began for the first time to appreciate how hard life must have been for them. If not for them, I would not have my wife, Billie Kaye, who is as my own soul. She is the joy of my life on earth. I cannot imagine life without her.

Both of our parents got married and stayed married to each other until they passed. They left us a great legacy of commitment to the marriage covenant in spite of all the challenges life brought their way.
