Table of ContentsCold Heat Alone now, just you, And the stars of the Winter Night to keep me warm. Look Forward Now, time for a change, Time to let go and move on, For the past is done. Anxious Thoughts It's not that easy To calm yourself and switch off The noise in your head. Ordinary Day I stare down blankly At the floor as my demons Eat away my soul. The Storm in Me Harsh storms can't hold a Candle to the storm in me When, at last, you left. In a Trance Staring at the wall, And the trance takes you away, Into deep sadness.
A Better Place I want to be gone From this inner hell, to find Where demons dare tread. Down in the Depths Sink down to the depths, Farther than sunlight could reach. Close your eyes and sleep. Down and Down Another day gone, Falling down a deep, dark pit, The light is fading. Colourblind Gray is all I see In the sky, down on the ground, A sea of sorrow. Let You Go I will let you go, So you can fly and run free Out there, free of me.
Lesson Learned No one but yourself To listen, because no one But you will be there. Be Here I, within this life, Feel only pain and sorrow When you're not around. Downward Falling in and out, Up and down, finding a way In the wrong places. Let Me Live My mind is a drug In itself, I'm addicted To all the bad thoughts. Tired I am so tired Of crying away my days, So I sleep instead. Stranglehold I'm in a place where My thoughts are tangled, twisted, Suffocating me.
Stood Up I sit here and wait, As you laugh and dance and sing, Unaware of me. Away From Others I prefer the night, Where there's no one else around And I can have peace. Mind, Take a Holiday Waiting for relief Like sun on a rainy day, A break from my mind. Exhaustion All done and dusted, Just to wake up the next day And do it again. Get Away Danger arises When silence isnt a choice And youre stuck forlorn. Shut Down Sometimes I forget That the grass seems greener when My head is shut off.
Before When the days were bright, The nights weren't lonely, when I Was soaked in self worth. Relief Days getting longer, Drown out the solace of sleep. When will relief come? Will Save me from myself, Grant me a reason, a will To live, or I won't. Slow Time Some days come rushing, Some plod and drag you through mud, Now is the latter. Dirty Brain is bombarded By the putrid pudge of thought, Never ending storm. Dreams Of A Nightmare Vast halls built for me, The envy of those who dream, Yet I am alone.
Misunderstood So many faces All around me, but not one Can understand me. The One Place Let me stay in bed, Where nothing matters as much And I am happy. When You're Alone No one to hear you But your own mind and the wind, And the world seems lost. Absent Simply absent from All that resides in this world, Just to be left be. When It Rains A rainy day calls, Calls to me with bated breath, What I want is Sun. Addicted to a Promise Please, just one more drink For the pain, then I will stop, I promise I will.
Past All those memories Held on to, serve only to Remind me of pain. Journaling Hands freeze in Winter, Infecting my bones with ice As I write these notes. Alone but not Lonely Though sometimes its nice To revel in the silence And be by yourself.
Control When I simply want Freedom to take my own path And they refuse me. Lopsided Love He dies inside when She frowns, although the same can Not be said of her. Eyes Am I dressed okay? Do I appear strange or odd? Why do they all stare? Voices The fury of war Shall wreak havoc on our world 'Till voices are heard. Fright He watches silent, Listens to the screams and cries, Yet he does nothing. Not Himself The gun aimed at his Most beloved, because the Voices told him to. On Your Stormy Days When the rain falls down As if it will never cease, I'll be by your side.
Invisible Suffering They chirp and whistle As others weep and worry At the pain within. Regret Take me back in time So I may reverse the wrongs I have done to you. Greed They want more than that, They take more each passing day, The people get less. Holiday Please take me away, Let's go, my love, for one day, So our wounds may heal. Carefree They fly high up there, The birds dancing through the trees, Caring not for us. Darkness Calls to Me In these deep, dark halls, Gently my name is whispered, And then fear creeps in.
Human History Time for spears to clash, Time for blood of man to spill, Time to ask what for? Betrayed I feel the knife there, In my flesh, tormenting me, Right where you left it. A Tumultuous Bond Though our skies are grey, Our world shrouded in evil, I will still love you. Second Best Don't ask me what's wrong When someone else has your ear And I'm your fall-back. If Only Today I promise, Promise to love you better. Better than before. Would You? Burn the world for me, Fly will the flames of passion Until it's just us.
All Ears Tell me what you feel, Don't bottle it up and hide, I'm here to listen. Feelings Crash Waiting for a word All my life and now it's here To empty my heart. As One In my time on Earth, I've grown to love my mistakes, For they made us one. Its Me Why are you afraid Of love? I ask yet I know, My mind tells me so. True Face You put forth your mask, Hide behind a veil of lies, Though I know the truth. Not Yours to Play With Treat me like I'm real, Instead of a toy plaything Then I'll respect you.
Games Can't you see the waves? Coming back and forth to me, So much like yourself. Forget The World In love with her soul, Her lips meet mine at long last, World is forgotten. Waiting For Dad A boy waits outside. Cars dash by in the late noon. When will he come home? Beyond A Want For us to be near Is my only ambition, Without you, I die. Need For Understanding He tries his hardest To understand why she is So afraid of love.
Fists Their fists in the air Were far from enough to stop One man's tyranny. Time Travel For to travel time Isn't in my interests, As I would lose you. Crowded Claustrophobia Is what I feel in this room, In this monstrous crowd. Around You Youre the only one I want to be near, so lets Leave it all behind. Getting Better Yet the company Of others can medicate The sick in my brain.
Cycle Water drips from leaves, Bead and plummet to the ground Before they're replaced. Silent Notice Treat your ears, for when Silence notes your absence, the Louder it will roar. The Paradise That Never Was Take me to the place Where thoughts are barred and the skies Are devoid of cloud. Peace of Mind Believe in your heart, Strike your goals with conviction, Then you will have peace. Prisoner A place for free will Is a place beyond the stars. Here there are shackles.
Optimistic Trees in winter breeze, Clouds form an overcast sky, The day, I shall seize. Painfully Perseverant Breed pain to kill pain, You die a little each time, But you keep at it. Brick Wall No, you are better, Refuse their words and believe, Take heart in yourself. Fight It Don't let it take you Over, push the demon back, Back where it belongs. An Evil It's all around us, Like an invisible mist, Lurking in shadows. Reserve Judgement Treat with kind hearts, those Who feel death is release from The prison of life.
