Introduction

Hello there sweet tooth Inside this book your sweet cravings will be - photo 3

Hello there sweet tooth,

Inside this book, your sweet cravings will be relieved with the different kinds of frozen desserts out there. Not only will you learn how to differentiate a sorbet from a sherbet, this book will also provide a variety of recipes under each type of frozen dessert.

Each frozen dessert recipe can be done in the comfort of your own home, and even without any equipment that will make the making process complicated (such as an ice cream maker).

Happy reading!

Chapter 1 - Many Have Chosen Frozen Desserts

Many have chosen frozen desserts among others. These frozen goodies are definitely a sweet treat during the summer season or just simply hot days. With that being said, here are the different types of frozen desserts to choose from.

Ice cream

Ice cream is a sweetened frozen dessert which is basically made of cream and milk (plus other exciting ingredients and flavors).

Ice cream cake

From the name itself, this frozen dessert is an ice cream and cake combined (although some versions only contain churned ice cream).

Ice pop

An ice pop is a water and freezing flavor liquid-based (added with different flavors and food coloring) frozen dessert. Ice pop is preferred as the following to different countries:

Popsicle - U.S., Canada, and New Zealand.

Ice block - Australia and New Zealand

Icy pole - some parts of Australia

Chihiro - Cayman islands

Freezie - ice pop without a popsicle stick

Sherbet

Sherbet is a frozen dessert similar to sorbet only with a lesser amount of milk fat.

Sorbet

Sorbet is a frozen dessert made of sweetened water and artificial flavoring.

Chapter 2 - I Scream Ice Cream

1. Using a large bowl, whip heavy cream.

2. Pour the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, butter and cinnamon in a large bowl. Whisk and fold in the whipped cream.

3. Using a 2-quart container with a cover, pour the mixture.

4. Put it in a freezer and store for 6 hours.

Chocolate Spread with Peanut Butter Chips Ice Cream

I will usually use Hersheys for my chocolate spread, but you can opt for any kind you prefer.

  • 14 ounce of sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 tablespoons of butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate spread (preferred)

3. Add peanut butter chips and fold it in the whipped cream.

4. Using a 2-quart container with a cover, pour the mixture and place it in a freezer for 6 hours.

Doughnut Flavored Ice Cream

For this recipe, you can also reduce the sweetness to your liking.

Preparation time: 6 hours and 20 minutes

  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 14 ounce of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 5 pieces of doughnuts (preferred)

1. Using a large bowl, pour heavy cream and vanilla extract then whip.

2. Using a food processor, chop the doughnuts.

3. Pour the sweetened condensed milk and fold it in the whipped cream.

4. Using a 2-quart container with a cover, store in a freezer for 6 hours.

Hazelnut Mocha Fudge Ice Cream

Perfect for an after-dinner dessert. The aroma of the hazelnut and coffee will help you unwind after a long day.

Preparation time: 3 hours and 15 minutes

Serving size: 16 scoops

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 14 ounce of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons of hazelnut coffee (grounded)
  • 1/2 cup of milk chocolate ice cream topping
  • 1 bottle of chocolate fudge flavoring

Instructions:

1. Using a medium-sized saucepan, mix heavy cream and hazelnut coffee.

2. Over a medium heat, boil the mixture to dissolve.

3. Remove mixture from heat and strain it into a bowl. Place inside the refrigerator.

4. Using a large bowl, whisk the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate ice cream topping. Set aside.

5. Once the heavy cream and hazelnut coffee mixture is chilled, beat it.

6. Fold heavy cream and hazelnut coffee mixture into the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate ice cream topping mixture.

7. Using a 2-quart container with a cover, pour in the mixture.

8. Store it in a freezer for an hour.

9. After 1 hour, remove ice cream mixture from the freezer and drizzle the chocolate fudge flavoring. Stir gently.

10. Return ice cream mixture into the freezer for another hour. Remove again and stir to break the chocolate fudge shell.

11. Add more fudge to desired amount.

Dulce De Leche Ice Cream

Even the scent of this dessert alone can satisfy your cravings.
