INTRODUCTION
Interestingly, OneNote is one of the four Office web applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote). And OneNote is now a basic productivity app and can be moved from the old mechanism for one purpose to create Christmas or birthday lists from web stores to a deep list. Therefore, I have to say that the real use of OneNote was to compile shopping lists, wishes because it pasted the URL under the screen clippings that I had inserted from the browser.
Microsoft OneNote is a workbook that can always contain more. Capable of performing the functions of all supplies in your desk drawer, OneNote is the perfect organizer. By familiarizing yourself with this software application, you can relieve your stress by systematizing all your notes, graphs, links, etc. Take advantage of the many functions with the help of these Microsoft OneNote tips and tricks.
Take notes, brainstorm ideas, create lists, and store articles on the web for later reading - collecting all this information can lead to disorganized clutter. We need a place to store everything so that we can find it when we need it. The best note-taking applications consolidate all your ideas, regardless of the format they take and make them searchable and searchable.
Microsoft OneNote is one of the best options on the market. It is designed to keep all your information in one place and to make it accessible to you, regardless of the device you have on hand because it offers applications for Android, iOS, macOS, Windows and the web.
To get started with OneNote you need a Microsoft account. This can be any free account, such as an email account from Outlook.com or a paid account, such as an Office 365 subscription. or the type of account you have, the set of functions is the same in OneNote, a real advantage given that some competing note applications restrict the functions depending on the service level you choose. With OneNote, the only difference between a free account and a paid account is the amount of cloud storage included in OneDrive, 5 GB and 1 TB, respectively.
If you have used other Microsoft Office applications in the past, you are familiar with the basic layout of the application, many of the same menus appear at the top. Before you start taking notes, it is useful to know how to organize them. OneNote uses notebooks that contain sections that contain pages.
Every page of OneNote works like a piece of paper. You can tap it, paste images or files onto it, draw with sketch and draw tools, record an audio memo, or paste other information onto it. You can click anywhere and start typing and dragging items to the desired part of the page.
One Note also has a Web Clipper plug-in or browser that allows you to save the content of web pages as a new page in your account. The web clipper offers you options to save the entire page, a selection of text that you choose or just the main text and images while ignoring the ads.
If you see something on the road that you need to remember, you can take a photo with your mobile device and also add the image to OneNote. If the image contains text, such as a photo of a sign with opening times, OneNote performs optical character recognition (OCR) to make the text searchable. In Windows and macOS versions of the application, with OneNote, you can right-click on an image and extract text from an image to copy it and use it elsewhere.
OneNote also offers tags so that you can easily organize notes and mark them for follow-up. For example, if you take notes during a meeting and want to remember the tasks assigned to you, you can apply the action tag. When viewing notes from a previous meeting, you can use tags such as Important or Chat with the manager to visually recall information that you do not want to ignore later. In the desktop version of the app, you can use the Tag Search feature to find these notes later - but unfortunately, you cannot search for tags on mobile devices and there is no way to sort the notes with tags like you would with any other note app.
OneNote also offers collaboration functions. You can share specific pages, sections or notebooks with your teammates and collaborate on this in real-time. Because the app synchronizes effortlessly, you do not have to worry about version management. OneNote records the most current content in real-time. There is even a free note style so that you can use the app as a digital whiteboard for brainstorming.
Since OneNote is a Microsoft product, it is no surprise that the app is closely integrated with other Microsoft software. When you schedule a meeting in Outlook, you can send a meeting calendar to participants as part of a shared page. You can then use the same page to take notes of the meeting and everyone has access to the updated version.
It started as yet another app in the Office suite. Still, nowadays, OneNote works on iPad, iPhones, Android devices, Mac, Windows touch devices and almost any device with internet via the web app. If you are looking for a new app for taking notes, OneNote is a great option.
