  • .50 oz. dry yeast
  • cup honey
  • 5 cups white flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 tbsp. sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour or as much as needed
  • 2 tbsp. melted butter
Directions: 1.

Stir cup honey and yeast into 3 cups of warm water. 2. Add the flour, oats, sesame seeds and thoroughly combine. 3. Set aside for 30 minutes. 4.

Add another cup honey, melted butter and salt. 5. Stir 2 cups whole wheat flour into the mixture and combine 6. Lightly flour a surface. 7. Place the dough on the surface and knead until the dough loses some of its stickiness.

Add additional whole wheat flour if necessary. 8. Transfer the dough into a lightly greased bowl. 9. Cover with a moist towel and let the dough double in size. 10.

Really punch down on the dough. 11. Lightly butter 3 9 x 5 loaf pans. 12. Distribute the dough to the 2 pans. 13.

Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. 14. Remove from oven and brush with the additional melted butter.


White Bread

  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 3 tbsp. sugar

    Crisco

  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 6 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 2 tbsp. wheat gluten
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. melted butter
Directions: 1. 2. 2.

Add the Crisco and salt. 3. Mix the flour and wheat gluten together. 4. Slowly, using only1/4 cup each time, stir the flour into the Crisco mixture. 5.

Grease a bowl with the olive oil and place the dough in the bowl. Coat with the oil. 9. Cover with a damp towel and let sit until the dough has doubled, 1 hour. 10. 11. 11.

Form 2 loaves. 12. Grease two loaf pans and fill each with 1 loaf. 13. Cover with a damp towel and let sit for 45 minutes. 14.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. 15. Reduce the heat to 375 degrees and bake both loaves for 30 minutes. 16. Brush the top of both loaves with the melted butter.


French Bread

Let the dough sit for 10 minutes. 5. Repeat this four more times stir and let sit. 6. Place the dough onto a floured surface and knead for just a few minutes. 7.

If you want to be creative, this is the time to cover your hands with garlic, grated cheese or cinnamon and lightly knead it into the bread to create a specialty loaf. 8. Cut the dough in half and create two 9 x 12 loaves. 9. Place the loaves on a greased baking sheet. 10.
