There are ways to add lots of taste to your older recipes and make them without using sugar.
We can use natural ingredients to perfect the recipe that used to be filled with sugar and calories. Take a few ingredients out, add some new ones and substitute others. Appetizers, Dressings and Sauces
Turkey and Ham Rollups
These are especially popular around the holidays. They make a great dish to take to the office parties and to your friends.
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Serves: 8 to 10
Ingredients:
- Cream cheese, 1 8oz. pkg.
- Black Forrest Ham, 1 pkg.
- Turkey, 1 pkg.
- Low-carb tortillas, 1 pkg., small
Directions:
Dry the ham slices. Spread the cream cheese on the ham. Add turkey. Place on the tortilla and roll gently. Hold closed with a toothpick while slicing into pinwheels. Serve with a side dip or alone. These turkey roll-ups make a great appetizer.
Sugar Free Sweet Potato Chips
We are always in need of a quick snack or appetizer. These sweet potato chips are delicious and have no added sugar. Indulge in eating chips again.
Prep Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
- Sweet Potatoes, 4, sliced thin
- Olive Oil, cup
Directions:
Clean and slice the sweet potatoes very thin. Toss the sweet potatoes in olive oil. Layer on sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until golden brown and crisp around the edges. Store or serve.
Sugar Free Zucchini Chips
If you have extra garden zucchini, here is the recipe for you. Bake a batch of zucchini chips to serve to family or guests. Add a nice homemade dip and you have the perfect snack.
Prep Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- Zucchini, 4 med., sliced thin
- Olive Oil, cup
- Sea Salt, 1 tsp.
Directions:
Wash the zucchini and slice thin. Place in bowl and pour olive oil over the zucchini. Layer on sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle salt over the chips. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until crisp. Serve with a nice homemade ranch dip.
Sugar Free Sweet Creamy Dipping Sauce
I love dipping sauce! I dip chips, chicken tenders and pizza all the time. This sauce is wonderful with chicken strips.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Serves:
Ingredients:
- Mayonnaise, 1 cup
- Mustard, 1 Tbs.
- Garlic Salt, tsp.
- Smoked Paprika, tsp.
- Onion Powder, tsp.
- Liquid Smoke, 2 tsp.
- Artificial Sweetener, tsp.
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and chill in refrigerator until time to serve. Serve with your choice of side.
Sugar Free Asian Dressing
The sweet savory taste of Asian dressing goes great on a nice salad. Enjoy with your meal or for dipping.
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Serves:
Ingredients:
- Lite Soy Sauce, cup
- Vinegar, cup
- Water, cup
- Ginger, 2 Tbs.
- Garlic powder, tsp.
- Onion Powder, tsp.
- Artificial Sweetener, 1 packet
- Chili Powder, 1 tsp.
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. Pour in jar with top. Shake to combine all the ingredients. Serve over a nice salad and enjoy.
Sugar Free Catalina Dressing
Many people enjoy the tangy taste of the Catalina dressing. It is a good idea to always have some on hand for guests. Now they can enjoy the wonderful sugar-free dressing.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Serves:
Ingredients:
- Tomato paste, 6 oz.
- Garlic Powder, 1 tsp.
- Chili Powder, 1 tsp.
- Water, 2 cups
- Cornstarch, 1 Tbs.
- Artificial Sweetener, cup
- Vinegar, 1 cup (Red Wine Vinegar)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in saucepan and stir. Heat until boiling. Remove from heat and cool. Store in container. Use as needed for your salads or dip.
