The Basics

1. Emblem3 is a band from Sequim, a city in the American state of Washington.
2. The band currently consists of Wesley and Keaton Stromberg.
3. Originally there was a third member of the band: Drew Chadwick. However, Drew left in June 2014 to pursue a solo career.
4. The boys came to prominence when they took part in the second season of The X Factor USA.
5. Emblem3 proved extremely popular with the viewing public, seeing them all the way through to the semi-final, where they finished in fourth place.
6. Due to their popularity and the following they had gained whilst on the show, in 2013 the band were signed by music mogul Simon Cowell to his label Syco Records.
7. Their first single was released on the 15 th of April 2013 and was called Chloe (Youre the One I Want).
8. Later that year on the 30 th of July, the boys released their debut album entitled Nothing to Lose.

Getting Started

1. Founding members Wesley and Drew first met when attending middle school in their home city of Sequim.
2. The two developed a strong musical understanding of one another from jamming sessions which included their own work as well as cover versions of some of their favourite songs.
3. Whilst the two were playing their music, Keaton (Wesleys younger brother) would be recording his own - although he would often listen in to the sessions.
4. Wesley moved over a thousand miles down the coast to Californias Huntington Beach so he could be with his girlfriend - although this meant that he and Drew could no longer play together.
5. Through his teenage years, Drew travelled up and down Americas West Coast but finally settled in Huntington with Wesley.
6. Keaton then enrolled in a California art school, meaning he could join his older brother and Drew for their new playing sessions together.
7. Now a trio, the band played a mixture of cover versions as well as their own music. It was the latter which they concentrated on, realising they had potential to make it big.
8. At this point in time, the boys werent using the name Emblem3 - in fact, they called themselves The American Scholars.
9. Together, they recorded and produced an album entitled Bite Your Lip and Take It.
10. As well as recording, the boys performed live in a number of venues around the Huntington Beach area. They tried out a number of names when arranging bookings, but eventually settled on what we now know and love - Emblem3.

Wesley - Part 1

1. Wesleys full name is Wesley Trent Stromberg.
2. He was born on the 6 th of December 1993.
3. This makes him a Sagittarius. Typical Sagittarians want to live it up, are optimistic and highly expressive... but tend to burn out young.
4. When Wes was just eleven years old, he formed a band called Deferred Prosecution.
5. Two years later and he moved on, this time to being lead singer of The American Scholars - in a way this is the actual band that over time turned into Emblem3
6. Even though he was very young, the band did really well, even supporting better-known acts such as rock outfit The Lonely H.
7. Wes is a keep-fit fanatic - something pretty obvious when you see his body!
8. Despite this, he is a huge fan of mega-unhealthy pizza... and says he practically lived on it when he was younger!
9. He has always been athletic, and when younger played quarterback for his school American football team.
10. One of Wess biggest pet hates is washing the dishes. Well, isnt it everyones?!

Keaton - Part 1

1. Keatons full name is Keaton Robert Stromberg.
2. He was born on the 16 th of July 1996.
3. This means that his star sign is Cancer. Typical Cancerians are unpredictable, but always able and willing to show affection for others.
4. Drew was just six when he first sat down at a piano. He quickly realised he had a natural ability for music and his talent progressed rapidly.
5. When he was younger, Keatons nickname was Keter Pan. Awwww!
6. Keaton said in one interview that Gotyes Making Mirrors is his favourite album of all time.
7. His biggest celebrity crush is Zooey Deschanel.
8. Keaton has a pet cat called Zuni.
9. When asked what his most annoying habit is, Keaton said it is not replying to people when they try and get in touch with him.
10. Keaton lists Owl City and Blink 182 as two of his key musical influences.

Drew - Part 1

1. Drews full name is Drew Michael Chadwick.
2. He was born on the 1 st of October 1992.
3. This makes him a Libra; typical Librans are affected more than others by heartache, and long for a simple, uncomplicated life.
4. Drews parents sadly got divorced when he was just two years old.
5. When he was a young child, Drew was quite advanced for his age when it came to esoteric thought; he would often ask his father quite deep philosophical questions.
6. Leading on from this, Drew particularly enjoyed studying philosophy when he was at school.

8. He is pretty athletic, and enjoys high adrenaline sports such as skating and snowboarding.
9. Third Eye Blinds Semi Charmed and Ocean by John Butler Trio are two of Drews favourite songs of all time.
10. Drew is passionate about the environment, and when he has the time enjoys being at one with nature.

Did You Know?

1. Whats the name for Emblem3 fans? Emblems of course.
2. Keaton and Wesley are closely related to Robert Stomberg, an Oscar-winning special effects artist who has worked on Pirates of the Caribbean and The Hunger Games amongst other films... He is in fact their uncle!
3. Joel and Benji Madden from Good Charlotte (who happen to be one of Wess favourite bands) actually worked on Emblem3s first album - if youre musically inclined, it is fairly easy to hear their influence!
4. Always thinking about bringing good into the world, the band have set up an organisation called teaminspireproject which, based in Huntingdon, California, aims to help people pursue their dreams.
