Introduction
There once was a time when pizza was merely Italian. While it was just as delicious, were glad that today we have loads of options when it comes to pizza! There is Hawaiian-style pizza, NY-style, Chicago-style, even Detroit-style! There are about as many styles as there are toppings, so were excited to get started!
Remember, just because youre on a weight-loss journey, it doesnt mean that you have to eat salads only or give up pizza. Quite the opposite! Weve got tons of keto, vegan, and paleo pizza recipes to help you stay on track while enjoying all the goodness of a delicious pizza!
Weve also got tons of toppings for you to choose from. Even better yet, because youre making the pizza yourself, all of the toppings are 100% customizable! Add more pepperoni, add fewer mushrooms, skip the onions, add more olives, extra cheese, less tomato sauce... Your wish is your command! Were only giving you basic ideas, but were letting you go wild with how you prepare them because its your pizza, so have fun!

Vegan Pizza

Recipe 1: Creamy Mushroom Pizza
Eating pizza is often enjoyed because of oozing creamy, gooey cheese. Now, you dont have to miss these warm gooey, creamy comfort bites.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Ingredient List:
To make the dough
2 cups of bread flour
cups of bread flour for dusting
1 teaspoons instant dry yeast
1 cup water
1 teaspoon coarse salt
1 tablespoon olive oil (some more for brushing and oiling the bowl)
For the topping
cup shiitake mushrooms
cup oyster mushrooms
cup button mushrooms
1 Onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
teaspoons dried thyme
Salt to season
Pepper to season
Fresh thyme for garnish
For creamy sauce
1 tablespoon vegan butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup Full Cream Coconut milk
2 teaspoons Lemon juice
cube of Vegetable bouillon (or 2 teaspoons vegetable broth powder)

How to Cook:
To make the dough
1. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and yeast.
2. Slowly add water and start mixing with a spatula.
3. While the dough hes still in lumps, add in all the oil.
4. Continue mixing until the dough becomes smooth. Knead into a ball with hands.
5. Cover with a cloth for one hour.
6. On a lightly dusted surface, pat the dough ball to make it flat. Pull the dough to stretch it till 1 foot and fold over to meet the ends. Repeat the pulling and folding back about eight times. Again, make it into a ball.
7. Lightly oil the dough ball and place it in a covered bowl. Refrigerate for 24-48 hours.
8. Before stretching the dough, divide into two equal balls, lightly oil, and rest at room temperature for 1 hour.
9. Just before assembly, stretch the dough on a lightly dusted surface. Pinch around the edges to make a dish-like shape. It should hold a thick layer of sauce.
For the topping
10. Heat oil in a saucepan and add onions. Saut till soft and golden.
11. Add garlic and mushrooms. Saut till they are wilted and tender. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix well and remove mushrooms in a bowl.
12. Keep the juices of mushroom in the pan, if any. They will add a layer of flavor to the creamy sauce.
To make the sauce
13. In the same pan, melt vegan butter and add flour. Mix to form a paste.
14. Take care not to burn the flour and cook the flour paste on medium heat.
15. Pour in coconut milk and mix completely with the flour paste.
16. Add lemon juice, vegetable bouillon. Let the sauce cook and thicken into a creamy consistency.
To assemble the pizza
18. Spread a thick layer of creamy sauce. Top with mushroom mixture.
19. Bake for 22 minutes in an oven preheated to 450F. The crust should be golden brown.
20. Let the pizza rest for 10 minutes till the sauce sets. When it is not too hot and not too cold, the sauce is cheesy on the outside and gooey/creamy on the inside. Yummy!
21. Garnish with thyme and serve warm.

Make your barbecue sauce and use it with your choice of toppings. Chargrilled barbecue pizza is excellent to enjoy with friends on winter nights.
