Cheesy Alfredo Tortellini
This recipe makes some tasty Italian comfort food, with its cheesy, rich ingredients. Youll enjoy the layers atop layers of cheese and pasta deliciousness.
Makes 5 Servings
Cooking + Prep Time: 1 hour & 40 minutes including 1 hour & 30 minutes slow cooker time
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 jars of creamy alfredo sauce
- 1 package of cheese tortellini, refrigerated
- 1/4 tsp. of salt, kosher
- 1/2 tsp. of garlic powder
Instructions:
1. Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick spray.
2. Pour 1 of the jars of alfredo sauce onto bottom of cooker.
3. Spread 1/2 of tortellini in an even layer atop sauce.
4. Sprinkle the garlic powder over tortellini layer.
5. Spread 1 & 1/2 cups mozzarella out over tortellini.
6. Pour second jar of the alfredo sauce on top of cheese.
7. Spread remaining tortellini out in layer atop sauce.
8. Spread last of mozzarella out over last layer of tortellini.
9. Cook in crock pot on high for an hour and a half, until its done. Serve.
Slow Cooker Smoky Links
I always make these smoky-links bathed in BBQ sauce when I am headed to a picnic or dinner party. Its a great appetizer, and most adults and children alike love them.
Makes 8 Servings
Cooking + Prep Time: 5 hours & 5 minutes including 5 hours of slow cooker time
Ingredients:
- 1 x 28-oz. bottle of BBQ sauce
- 3 tbsp. of steak sauce
- 1 x 14-oz. pkg. of mini smoked sausages
- 3 tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. of ground pepper
Instructions:
1. Combine ingredients in slow cooker. Cover. Cook on a low setting for five to six hours, until mixture heats through.
2. Serve using a slotted spoon.
Garlic Lemon Chicken
When you add garlic and lemon, along with fresh herbs, the combination will add wonderful flavor to this chicken dish. Its especially welcome when its hot outside and you dont feel like turning the oven on. The chicken comes out flavorful and SO juicy.
Makes 6 Servings
Cooking + Prep Time: 4 hours & 10 minutes including 4 hours slow cooker time
Ingredients:
- 4 to 5 lbs. of chicken, whole
- 3 to 4 & 1/2 garlic heads
- 6 fresh lemons
- Steak seasoning
- Fresh herbs, your choice
Instructions:
1. Cut the lemons and garlic heads in halves. Lay at bottom of your slow cooker.
2. Add herbs of choice.
3. Remove chicken insides. Rinse the chicken and pat it dry.
4. Season the chicken with steak seasoning.
5. Lay chicken atop lemons and garlic. Stuff chicken with 1/2 garlic head and lemon cut into quarters.
6. Cover chicken with additional herbs and slices of lemon.
7. Cook for four hours on high setting. Internal temp of chicken should be 165F. Make sure you dont undercook.
8. Turn slow cooker off. Allow chicken to rest for 15 minutes or so.
9. Remove chicken from the slow cooker. Carve it and serve.
Orange Chicken
Despite the bright color of the sauce in this dish, it is certainly a takeout favorite. But when you make it at home, or, rather, when your crockpot makes it, you will have a more realistic looking meal, with fresh-squeezed sauce and orange zest. Honey brings out the oranges flavor and gives the sauce a sticky texture, and it is so delicious youll forget about takeout foods.
Makes 4 Servings
Cooking + Prep Time: 3 hours & 40 minutes including 3 & 1/2 hours slow cooker time
Ingredients:
- 16 ounces of orange sauce, jarred
- 4 chicken breasts, skinless, boneless
- 1/4 tsp. of kosher salt
- 1/8 tsp. of red pepper flakes (less if you dont want the dish spicy)
- To garnish: green onions
Instructions:
1. Place ingredients in bottom of slow cooker.
2. Cook the chicken in slow cooker, covered, on high setting for three hours.
3. Drain the juices from the slow cooker.
4. Pour orange sauce over the chicken. Cook for 1/2 hour more covered on high.
5. Serve with white rice if you like.
Italian Style Pot Roast
On busy days, this dish is so easy and quick to make. Youll use conveniently packaged gravy and salad dressing together to create a delicious, tempting sauce for this fall-apart roast. If your family likes roast, this will be a favorite.
Makes 15 Servings
Cooking + Prep Time: 7 hours & 10 minutes including 7 hours slow cooker time
Ingredients:
- 2 chuck roasts, boneless beef
- 1 envelope of gravy mix, brown
- 1 envelope of Italian flavor salad dressing mix
- 1 envelope of ranch flavor salad dressing mix
- 1/2 cup of filtered water
Instructions:
1. Place chuck roasts in crock pot.
