Introduction
Whats the key to the perfect frosting? The amount of cream used, sugar, color, or design of swirl? For me, I believe it is the passion and love that you pour into making your frosting.
If preparing frosting from scratch, seems like an impossible task to you, then this recipe book is exactly what you need. Once youre through, youll be able to put some of the best frosting that you or any of your friends and family have ever had!
So, enough talking, lets get started!
Cream Cheese Frosting
A creamy yet sturdy and delicious cream cheese frosting that work wonders with any cupcake!
Makes: 2 cups
Prep: 15 mins
Cook: 5 mins
Ingredients:
- cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cups icing sugar
- tsp salt
- tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cream cheese, cold and cut into cubes
Directions:
Use a stand mixer, beat butter for a minute or so until creamy.
Add in the icing sugar, salt and vanilla and beat for about 6 minutes or until mixture has lightened.
Add in the cream cheese cubes one at a time, mixing well after each cube so no lumps are formed.
Beat for 3 minutes. Frosting should be smooth and fluffy.
Frosting is now ready to be used.
Cotton Candy Frosting
Both kids and adults will nut over this delicious and colorful cotton candy frosting.
Makes: Approx. 3 cups
Prep: 10 mins
Ingredients:
- 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups icing sugar
- 3 tbsp milk
- 2-3 drops cotton candy flavoring
- 2-3 drops red or blue food coloring
Directions:
In a large bowl, using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the butter for 1 minute or until light and creamy. Add in half of the icing sugar and half of the milk and beat until well combined. Repeat with the remaining sugar and milk followed by the cotton candy flavoring to taste.
Add a few drops of food coloring and stir until desired color is achieved.
Frosting is now ready to be used.
Blueberry Cream Cheese Frosting
A soft, loose, and delicious cream cheese frosting recipe with fresh blueberries.
Makes: Approx. 2 cups

Cook: 10 mins
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 tbsp. white sugar
- tbsp. cornstarch
- Zest of half a lemon
- cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cups icing sugar
- tsp salt
- tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cream cheese, cold and cut into cubes
Directions:
In a large saucepan set over medium heat, combine the blueberries, sugar, cornstarch and zest. Cook and stir the mixture for a few minutes or until the blueberries soften. Smash the blueberries and cook further until the mixture thickens. Remove and set aside to cool.
In the large bowl of a stand mixer, beat butter for a minute or so until creamy.
Add in the icing sugar, salt and vanilla and beat for about 6 minutes or until mixture has lightened.
Add in the cream cheese cubes one at a time, mixing well after each cube so no lumps are formed.
Beat for about 3 minutes until smooth and fluffy. Gently fold in the cooled blueberry sauce. Chill for 15 minutes before using, if desired.
Cardamom Buttercream
A smooth frosting with hints of cardamom undertones, this unique recipe is one that youll keep coming back to if you love cardamom.
Makes: Approx. 4 cups

Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp ground cardamom
- 5 cups icing sugar
- cup milk
Directions:
Beat the butter for 3 minutes. Add in the vanilla and cardamom and beat until well combined. Gradually add in a cup of sugar followed by a splash of milk and beat until combined. Repeat.
Frosting is now ready to be used.
Peanut Butter Brown Sugar Frosting
A sweet caramel frosting that will make any peanut butter lovers day!
Makes: Approx. 3 cups
Prep: 25 mins
Cook: 5 mins
Ingredients:
- 2 egg whites
- cup brown sugar
- cup smooth peanut butter
- cup salted butter, softened
Directions:
In a medium-sized heat-proof bowl, whisk together the egg whites and sugar until combined. Place over a saucepan of simmering water and whisk continuously until the sugar has dissolved.
Pour mixture into a mixing bowl and using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat on medium speed for 10-15 minutes until fluffy. Increase to high and continue beating for 5 minutes more or until soft peaks form.
