Introduction

Everyone wants to be healthy and at the weight level that supports their highest vitality.

Not only do you look and feel better that way, but its also better for your mental self-image. When you feel healthy, you feel energetic, motivated, and more confident. You also have a better social image, and that includes the potential for romance.

Thinner people naturally do better at work, even if they have less skills than you! In fact, it is well known that when you look the part, people automatically think you fit the part, and those who are most successful are generally always in good physical form.

It is great to know all of the benefits of being in good shape, but if you are struggling with your weight, you are painfully aware the opposite is also true. When you are overweight, you not only are much more susceptible to all sorts of diseases, but also have a harder time feeling energetic. You might try to shrink your weight away by hiding it under your clothes to appear thinner, or perhaps you have given up and just stopped caring so much when all the women (or men) are giving their second glances to your slimmer friends.

These Things Called "Diets"

The word diet is a four letter word on so many levels. In the first place, just saying it can fill you with feelings of dread, making you feel like you are faced with an activity that is going to be both unpleasant and unsatisfying. Plus, traditional diets rarely, if ever, actually work.

The worst diet is the starvation diet because it will actually make you gain fat if you arent careful. Of course, it may work short term to drop a few quick pounds, if you can get past the hunger pangs and mood swings, not to mention the sluggish feeling you get from the lack of calories. However, very quickly, your body will begin to think that you are at risk of starving to death and will actually start building fat. It does this by eating your muscles, which is the last thing you want to happen.

Then there are all the fad diets, which can also help you lose a few pounds to begin with, but which are not healthy or sustainable for the long term. Im sure you have heard of them: the Atkins Diet, DASH Diet, Vegan Diet, Paleo Diet, and so forth. They all work in different ways to drop pounds while you are on the diet. However, as soon as you begin to integrate back to a normal diet, those pounds come back, often leaving you weighing more than you did before you started.

Many diets have you jumping through hoops to weigh foods, count calories, or do some other cumbersome task that makes planning and eating your meals time-consuming and inconvenient. Sure, when you feel like you are working hard on your diet, you might feel as if it will be successful. At the same time, busyness has nothing to do with weight loss, unless you are busy exercising.

Hands down, the best diet for you is to never diet at all. By that, I mean eating three square meals a day that are full of filling and satisfying foods. You will feel great, look great, and never feel like you are putting yourself through weeks, months, or even years of misery. What could be better than that?

Now, before you think you can just eat three meals a day and lose weight, there are some particular guidelines you have to follow, which you are going to learn as you progress through How to Eat More and Weight Less. Dont worry there arent any weird things you have to eat, such as whole grapefruits three times a day. In fact, you will be thrilled with how easy it is and how many options you have!

Eating to Live or Eating to Die?

Here is what you are consuming if you buy a single milkshake from one of the popular fast food restaurants: Amyl acetate, amyl butyrate, amyl valerate, anethol, anisyl formate, benzyl acetate, benzyl isobutyrate, butyric acid, cinnamyl isobutyrate, cinnamylvalerate, cognac essential oil, diacetyl, dipropyl ketone, ethyl butyrate, ethyl cinnamate, ethyl heptanoate, ethyl lactate, ethyl methylphenylglycidate, ethyl Nitrate, ethyl propionate, ethyl valerbate, heliotropin, hydroxphrenyl-2butanone (10% solution to alcohol), a-ionone, isobutyl anthranilate, isobutyl butrate, lemon essential oil, maltol, 4-methylacetophenone, methyl anthranilate, methyl benzoate, methyl cinnamate, methyl heptine carbone, methyl naphthyl ketone, methyl slicylate, mint essential oil, neroli essential oil, nerolin, neryl isobulyrate, orris butter, phenethyl alcohol, sore rum ether, g-undecalctone, vanillin, and solvent.

If you can pronounce each of these ingredients and actually know what they are, congratulations! Either way, these foods simply do not fuel your body with the nutrients it needs. You could just throw a frozen banana, strawberries and some almond milk in your blender at home and enjoy something that will nourish your body and taste much better than the cocktail of death you just paid way too much for at that fast food joint.

This is just one small example of the kind of substances you are putting into your body when you opt for the fast food fare. Believe it or not, this stuff really isnt easier, quicker, or less expensive than real, whole foods; its just the power of marketing that has you convinced that fast foods are more convenient.

Start by going through your pantry and throwing out all the junk food and fast food. This is the first step in starting to eat in a way that will help you peel off the pounds. You will both avoid a huge excess of empty calories and protect yourself from over-eating. This is because the chemical compounds in junk food have actually been proven to affect the parts of the brain that regulate weight, hunger and appetite in ways that are terrible for someone who wants to get healthy and thin.
