Dedications To the many stimulating people that I have met in my varied life, thank you for being the catalyst for my observations.
Introduction Words are marvellous. We convey so much through them. Love, hate, despair, jubilation, need and happiness.

We can create worlds using them and whisk people away to the most fantastic of places through their power. Our ability to read and understand sets us apart from everything else that inhabits this planet. Words have a dramatic effect on peoples lives and sometimes the shortest of sentences can be life-changing. I love you. Im sorry, but you were too late. Congratulations, the job is yours.

There is nothing more we can do. Yes, I will marry you. Help me. So much emotion can be invested in words and throughout history the most brilliant writers have used them to sensational and incredible effect. Politicians use them to produce brilliant rhetoric, pop stars invent memorable lyrics that live on forever, a choice line from a film enters popular culture, a saying becomes a universal truth and bedtime stories gently send millions of children off into slumber. Spoken or written, words are exceptionally versatile.

In the hands of the skilled they can uplift or destroy. A rousing team-talk might spur a team onto victory whilst a forensic cross-examination of a witness can annihilate somebodys legal case. We use them every day and when we finally shuffle off this mortal coil we would prefer to her kind, comforting words in those final moments. Such is the potency of words, my kind and me relish the opportunity to use them in order to further our machinations. Whether it be to seduce you, demean you, confuse you or persuade others against you, words are out stock in trade and therefore something you would do well to pay special attention. I love to hold forth.

As you know, my favourite topic is talking about myself and I am never happier than when I am able to provide my pithy observations. I am an authority on many, many topics but of course there is one subject of which I am the master. That subject is what I am. I thought that you may find it useful to read all of these observations in one place as I am sure they will resonate with you. You will have heard the narcissist in your life make these comments. Of that I have no doubt.

My comments will also provide you with a further insight into the way my kind and me behave, think and act. You always need to be aware of what you are dealing with. You always need to be reminded of the danger that lurks each day with us and by perusing this collection of comments, observations and declarations, you have the perfect gathering of material to maintain your guard and vigilance. The words I speak often appear sugar-coated but they flatter to deceive. Much of what I say is designed to seduce you, con you and then belittle you. There are flames and vitriol behind the honey-covered words.

Acquainting yourself with these comments and recognising what is meant by them will prove invaluable in evading or tackling the narcissists that come your way. Make no mistake they will. Our numbers are growing and we have many victims during the course of our lives. Make sure you are not one or ensure you have identified that a narcissist has his or her tendrils wrapped around you so you know that you need escape. You have probably realised by now that my kind and me like to conserve our energies and only apply that energy when we want to. This will invariably be in the pursuit of fuel.

Consequently, we are not people of action but rather words are out tools. As it has been said, talk is cheap. We are certainly masters of using words to achieve our aims, be it a way of seducing you or a withering comment to unsettle you and undermine your confidence. We love to talk and marvel at our ingenuity with words. Accordingly, by being familiar with the many things that we say you will become more accustomed to the way we think, plan and ultimately act. You may recognise a number of these comments with a shiver or a wry smile.

Many of them convey what I think about you or even sometimes give you a rare glimpse of truth into what I think about myself. Others are blistering and unpleasant put downs which I use as cudgels to beat down any resistance to getting what I want from you. Yet others are the conniving and insidious tools I use to ply my unpleasant ways. I am sure you will be nodding in familiarity at many of these comments. If that familiarity comes from already knowing, you have a narcissist close at hand then hopefully you will gain an added understanding of the way they are. If you were unaware that a narcissist lurks nearby or perhaps you had the merest of suspicions, should you find that this person is saying many of the phrases and utterances that you will read ahead, then you very much have a narcissist in your midst.

In that situation you will need to plan accordingly to deal with the toxic words that he or she shall send your way. I considered grouping the comments and observations into sections but then realised we rarely behave in such a fashion. I think the way they are presented more accurately portrays the manner in which we behave, switching suddenly from praise to insult, jumping from compliment to demand and alternating between charmer and abuser. Read on and learn more of what comes from the Mouth of a Narcissist in this collection of comments and thoughts.
Comments, Thoughts and Observations In my view open season applies to anyone at anytime I found the lie that you told to be far worse than the ones that I ever told. My skill set is varied and elite in nature and I apply it to my nefarious aims.

You're tackling the illusion and I do not like that. I found your lack of faith disturbing. Do not forget that I am your god and you must worship me. We dole out the silence not you. It was me every time, I just changed my appearance. I have to have you; you see that is all that matters to me.

I'm so generous I just bought you a compartment, I mean apartment. It's where I need you to stay. I just want to keep you next to me and make everything good for you. You are crazy I don't want to do this anymore. Today was a great day until you decided to mess it up with your hysterical questioning of me. You accuse me of not being there for you, but I am here now aren't I? You really are crazy aren't you? I love you and I always have.

You never believe anything I say so I may as well lie. My lies are so outlandish you choose to just let them go rather than challenge them and thus I am validated. If you challenge me I will just tell you that now I know why nobody likes you. That usually shuts you up. You live in the past, well you are always bringing it up. I looked at your computer and noticed that in your google search if you put my first initial then my whole name comes up.

You cannot let go can you? I change my phone number once a month. it keeps you on your toes. Apparently my condition belongs in Cluster B. I want to know now why it is not in Cluster A? Want to know where I have been? Just follow the train of emotional wrecks. I will tell you I love you with my hands around your throat. (That's so you will be quiet and listen to my declaration of love) When I first started out I believed I had an imaginary audience that followed me.
